I'm in my 60s & this was my best experience with an eye exam. Dr. Koop is excellent. Very thorough. She explains everything. She also is very courteous & respectful. Sherree helped me order my contacts & later had to reverse & repost the transaction because I didn't realize I had eye insurance. All of the staff was knowledgeable & very kind. I highly recommend them.

The doctors and staff at this location are outstanding. The office team has always been friendly and professional, and Dr. Koop is quite possibly the best eye doctor I've ever had. I've been coming here for annual eye exams for nearly 10 years and have always received excellent care. Unfortunately, my recent experience with billing and insurance has been incredibly frustrating. I received an unexpected bill for $225 for an eye exam. When I called the number listed on the bill, I was unable to reach a human being. The AI phone system repeatedly told me it could not transfer me because it was outside business hours—even though I was calling at noon on a Monday. Now, to make matters worse, the bill has been sent to collections despite my insurance company, EyeMed, telling me the exam should be covered. I have spent countless hours trying to get this resolved and am currently sitting on hold again, attempting to speak with an actual person. This review is not a reflection of the doctor or the local office. They deserve 5 stars. The problem is the billing and customer service process, which appears to be heavily dependent on a broken automated system that makes it nearly impossible to resolve issues. If you are paying cash, I highly recommend Nationwide Vision because Dr. Koop is excellent. If you are using insurance, be prepared for potential billing issues and significant difficulty reaching someone who can help. I sincerely hope Nationwide Vision fixes its billing and customer service operation because it does not reflect the quality of care provided by the doctors and staff.
I want to preface that Dr. Koop is amazing and the only reason why I come here. Had to go in this morning to have my daughter’s glasses checked and we talked to the front desk, the girl was nice but when she told Michael we needed the glasses checked he barked orders to her that he needed a copy of the prescription. Nothing polite, not talking to us. When we were told to sit down with him, he couldn’t even say hello or anything to us. He was annoyed or upset we were there (mind you there was literally no other person in). After he started talking to my daughter I finally said hello and then he responded. Look, if you don’t like working with the public then don’t. But having a poor attitude won’t make me want to spend my money with your company. I truly dislike dealing with the staff here but have to suck it up to see the amazing Dr. Koop.
First time in and I was quite impressed by the staff and Dr. Koop. Michael was very helpful picking out some glasses for me and making sure I got the correct discounts from my insurance. The technician who did my pre-exam was very personable. And the doctor was thorough and listened to me to solve a problem I have been having. Hoping my insurance will allow me to keep this office
Dr. Koop is very thorough, professional, and kind. We have been seeing her for years. The front desk staff was very nice. The gentleman who checked us out and took our measurements was very courteous and a pleasure! Thanks for taking care of us!
