I would like to say that my visit to Nevada Eye clinic was awesome. The staff was nice and friendly. I had to wait a little bit but that was ok because when I finally got to see Dr Ryan Peterson everything was alright. He has a great personality. He came in the room with a wonderful greeting. A great smile introduced himself and explained everything about my visit. These days it’s hard to find a good doctor but I found mine in Dr Ryan Peterson.
Dr. Nelson-Lopez was phenomenal with my 5 year old (he definitelyhas a nack for working with young children), as was each nurse. The appointment was long, lots of steps, so understandable. Still, the time with the Dr. felt very rushed and I wasn't really given an opportunity to ask any questions. Which was disappointing. I ended up googling things later. They were very busy and a little short staffed but each interaction was friendly.
The staff was very thorough and caring. The eye doctor was also very nice and informative. I didn't feel rushed by the doctor. The lady at the front desk was also very nice and thorough. Al in al it was a good visit.
Front office needs to become familiar with basic HIPAA practices. They will loudly blurt out your insurance multiple times in a quiet waiting room. Fully say your first name out loud which is fine but then proceed to say your full last name at the counter, just ask for my ID. It was so frustrating coming home to a waiting room full of strangers knowing my full name, insurance, and address. So unacceptable. My provider was great.
