Always had good experience with this optometrist. Been going here since early 2000. My appointment this week was great as well. Appointment was on time and efficient. What really prompted me to write review was the customer service. I have anxiety about picking out glasses. The young lady that helped me out was amazing. Very patient and kind and funny. Wish I would've caught her name to give her a proper shout out. Kudos to you Newport Optometry. Nothing but love. Lol

Poor Front Desk Customer Service: During a recent visit, I arrived on time for my appointment and stood waiting to be signed in. The staff member at the front desk was on her personal cell phone, completely ignored my presence, and did not even acknowledge me to say someone would be right with me. After finishing her personal conversation, she simply walked away, leaving me waiting for a prolonged period. Issues with Frame Fitting & Lens High-Index Upgrades: Every time I pick up new glasses, the frames are fitted extremely tight. When I express concerns about the fit, the staff appears annoyed rather than willing to help. Furthermore, my recent pair was uncomfortably heavy and caused me severe headaches. When I returned to address this, a staff member informed me that a thinning process (high-index) was left off my lenses. The original fitting staff member never offered or discussed this option with me. Even after paying to add this feature, the glasses remained too heavy. When I tried to resolve the issue by asking to place the lenses into my old frames, I was met with hostility. Staff warned me loudly that they were not responsible if the frames broke and stated in an unprofessional manner that I would have to pay out-of-pocket for any other frame I selected. Instead of guiding me through my options and ensuring a proper fit, your staff was dismissive, defensive, and unhelpful. Due to this persistent lack of professionalism and care, I will be taking my eye care needs elsewhere.

Arturo and Andrea were so helpful and kind with my dad. we have been coming here for years and the team is always great! they helped him find an amazing pair of sunglasses and then helped him figure out his insurance and payment. 10/10 experience and all around great team.

Arturo was very kind, reviewed all details with me and answered any questions I had! Dr Hagan was also very kind and more thorough than other providers I’ve seen at retail and chain optometrist offices. Will definitely continue my care here!
