Our family has had an outstanding experience with Dr. Nissman and the entire team. From the moment you walk into the office, everyone is welcoming, professional, and genuinely focused on patient care. Dr. Nissman takes the time to listen, thoroughly explain findings and treatment options, and answer questions in a way that is easy to understand. We never feel rushed, and we always leave feeling confident that we have received exceptional care. The office is well organized, appointments run efficiently, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond to make patients feel comfortable.

I recently called Nissman Eye Institute and wanted to share my experience. When my call was answered, the greeting was very general (“doctor’s office”), which made it a bit unclear if I had reached the correct place. I was also placed on hold and the call got disconnected. It only happened once, so it may have been an isolated incident, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Finding Doctor Nissman was ‘min hashamayim’ - from heaven! Being a researcher on the computer for an average of 10 plus hours a day my eye health is a priority. I received the most extensive eye exams and tests under his care and was happy to find out B”H that my eyes were in much better condition than I thought. It was a relief to learn that I did not have any of the degenerative conditions which I had worried might result in having to curtail my workload and render me unable to read the 8,000 books in my library. Appointment scheduling with Dr. Nissman online is very easy too. I had an eye issue and was amazed that I was able to be seen literally the next day, as opposed to waiting weeks or months for an appointment. I had read Dr.Nissman’s bio and was very impressed and appreciative he had treated American soldiers who had been wounded in the war in Iraq. Dr.Nissman’s credentials and professional experience are astounding as well. I consider it a blessing to be in his care!

I called trying to see (ha ha) if they were accepting new patients. The receptionist was rude, and mean spirited telling me “no new patients”When I asked if they could refer me to another Eye Specialist she said “we don’t do that” and hung up.Bad service from the door is not a good sign. She should be dismissed.

I really like Dr. Nissman and would stick with him. However, the receptionist in that office is very hard to deal with. They double charged me for my routine visit - I paid out of pocket, and they got a payment from my insurance. I called multiple times as well as my insurance advocate. The receptionist is being rude and just keeps saying that they did not get anything from the insurance which is not true. Every time I ask to talk to the billing departemnt, she says they are not in the office. My insurance has already faxed them all the documents to prove that the payment went through, but she keeps declining.
