I drove my niece to an eye appointment at Cascadia Eye. The staff was excellent and very kind. They really put her at ease. If you have trouble finding it, it's in the back part of the building at the very end by the dentist. This is a gorgeous parking lot? I'm not kidding! It really is. My car battery died so I had the hood up. They checked if I needed anything before they went home for the day. I can't say enough good things!

I love coming here. I've been coming here for years now and I'll be coming here for years to come!! If you need an eye exam come here because they treat you like your a real person not just a person coming thru for another exam. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable they answer any question you have that they can answer if not the doctor has the answer. This is a good place to go for glasses too. They have some really nice choices. If not there they have another place where you can choose a pair of glasses at. Cascadia Eye is the place to go for eye exams.
Bad experience all around. My appointment time was moved without informing me. Upon my arrival for my original appointment I was given the updated details. I couldn’t make that work so they had somebody skip lunch to do my exam. This was my first eye exam since 2008. I have reached a point where reading normal print or handwriting is difficult to impossible. This is directly interfering with my ability to do my job. When I brought this up to the doctor she told me that there was nothing wrong with my eyes, that I was not having any problems, and that I didn’t even need my 2008 prescription updated. I later received a letter that my insurance company was refusing to pay and I would need to pay out of pocket even though the same insurance covered my husband and son at Cascadia without issue. I never did get a new prescription or glasses and I still haven’t gotten things resolved with insurance. 0/10. Do not recommend. Editing to add: I did not want anyone to skip their lunch to serve me. I was willing to reschedule but the clinic insisted. In the initial weeks following the appointment I reached out several times regarding the whole mess plus insurance. I was told, “We are sorry you feel that way,” “Our doctors are experts, if you actually had a vision problem she would have told you,” and “That’s between you and your insurance company, we can’t help or give you any information.”
Cascadia Eye is a for profit business focused not on meeting patient optical or ophthalmology needs but on hourly patient throughput and billing. I cannot recommend this business. I made appointments for both myself and my young adult son as new patients here because we needed updated eye exams and new prescriptions for eye glasses. We each saw different providers. Unfortunately, I saw Dr Charles Maddux. Dr Charles Maddux is only focused on upselling unnecessary surgeries and billing patients when not providing the services that were requested as the reason for the visit. Both I and my son had the same experience here - zero care from the providers to take the time to do the eye exams to deliver the correct prescription and both of us having to then pay out of pocket for eye exams done properly with accurate prescriptions being written by optometrists at Costco because Cascadia Eye had already collected on our annual insurance benefit without doing the job properly.
First visit to Cascadia Eye. Very friendly and highly professional starting when you sign on until you leave. Very nice office. My appointment was at 2 o'clock got their early and was seen immediately. I would highly recommend Cascadia Eye.
