I have been visiting the Coupeville office for the past three years. Every visit from start to finish is timely and efficient. Staff are courteous and friendly. Exams and consultations are conducted with care. Melanie takes care to keep you comfortable and calm throughout the exam, explaining steps clearly. My questions and concerns are addressed properly and professionally. Dr. Gordon is kind, knowledgeable and dedicated to providing the best care and support for my optical health.
Nice and friendly office. They answered all my questions, listened to my concerns, and conducted a very thorough exam. The office takes its time with patients, providing ample time for each visit, which creates a great experience. I highly recommend this office for their patient-focused approach. Dr Gordon is a great eye Doctor and has a great staff
I've been to this location five times for one pair of glasses! The first and second time was for my initial pair which they were so far off it was literally,,, bizarre! I chose this location after looking at it, the building, the location, the doctors and deciding (incorrectly), that it was not part of the corporate medical world we've seen emerge in the last 15-20 years, I could not have been more wrong. The doctor explained to me that his technician had started the exam with the assumption that I was just using reading glasses at that point, I did not want to point out to him, that was a lot of gobbledygook, given a proper exam there should be no confusion about what my prescription should be. No matter what I'd been wearing heretofore. Two things I know for sure, it's not possible for the same doctor to get two different exams so completely wrong that the glasses I took home the second time are useless to me, I'm literally using an old pair of glasses that are better than nothing at best. The second thing I know is that if I was a 70 year old white man, I'd have glasses that worked right now. They don't want me back. Throughout all of this I was dealing with a young lady named Nicole, the last and fifth time that I was in the office I was short with her, (aggravated!), feeling badly, I called back later in the evening to apologize, I said to her, "surely you can understand why I'd be frustrated", breaking it down for her, telling her that it's 10 Ferry rides that involved 4-5 hours both ways and almost $250 in tolls, plus the time that it took for the exams, she literally grumbled under her breath, Hmm! That was her entire response! To which I said, well ok, maybe you don't understand. It's not that she doesn't, she was over pretending to care. So my takeaway from this place is that, if you're not brown and you're ready to spend upwards of $600, give it a shot. I can't say what's in their hearts but again having been the victim of bigotry many many times, that is what it feels like and that it's part of this equation. Again, It's not possible that they could have gotten it wrong, so wrong! Twice. Now that I've expended the benefits of my insurance, I'll have to seek some sort of legal remedy, whatever I can afford I guess or pay out of pocket to go somewhere else. I came here from the deep south, in the south, if someone doesn't want you in their establishment, they're very clear about it! Here it's Politically Incorrect to act that way so they dance around it and do things like this. Although I find bigotry in any form abhorrent, I think I prefer the southern way.
Dr Golez was outstanding, had a sense of humor yet very professional. I saw him because I was not able to get in and see my usual eye doctor Dan Siapco, MD whom I love o see very much but if I couldn't get in to see him I would highly recommend seeing Ernesto Golez III, MD. He was a great choice . Cascadia eye does a wonderful job providing outstandin eye ophthalmologist and specialist. Very satisfied and pleased patient. L.Cross
