The Staff is lovely. Most of the doctors are very good. The practice is awful!! They clearly overbook patients. Arrived at 8:50, which means it wasn’t open for long. There were ZERO seats left in the waiting room. And I’m talking about 25-35 seats. This is not the first time I have had this experience. I decided to write this review because it’s out of control here. Shame on them. I will be finding another ophthalmologist.

Although the support staff especially Jackie , she was efficient and very kind and Dr. Liu and her staff were also kind and knowledgeable but the wait time was extremely long and most patients had to stand in the waiting room because there was no seating for them. Also the office manager spoke to a frustrated patient( because of the wait time) in a not so nice way in regards to the wait time in front of other patients. I work with clients everyday and there is a way to speak to people in private.
Initial visit in a very busy practise. Staff is very friendly and it's set up and organized very well. Saw Dr. Davis, very friendly, down to earth and had my issues mapped out with plans to move forward on my cataract surgery. I feel well in hand at this point.
This was my first visit to SightMD, and the entire atmosphere felt cold, mechanical, and deeply uninviting. From the moment I stepped inside, the staff operated like an assembly line, treating patients like numbers in a "cattle call" rather than human beings. The front desk was left unattended, and when a staff member finally returned, they shouted across the waiting room to collect my details. I was never formally greeted, was called strictly by my last name, and received immediate attitude when I politely requested to be addressed by my given name. The reception team avoided eye contact and delivered a robotic, off-putting check-in. This coldness continued in the back: the assistant dilating my eyes looked at me in disbelief—as if asking "what are you doing here?"—and rushed me through without trying to make me comfortable, while the doctor’s assisting nurse remained just as distant and unwelcoming. The physician was informative but spoke almost entirely in heavy medical jargon, operating under the assumption that I already understood my condition. No one proactively explained my prognosis, outlined my next steps, or detailed why certain procedures were necessary. I had to continually push and ask questions just to get basic answers about my own health. If you visit this facility, you must be prepared to advocate strongly for yourself or bring someone along who can do it for you. Beyond a few tolerable caregivers, the only warm interactions or laughter occurred strictly among the staff members themselves. My visit ended just as dismissively as it began, with reception handing over paperwork, booking a follow-up, and pushing me out the door without a single check-in. Although I am scheduled to return in a month, I deeply regret getting involved with SightMD.
I waited 2 hours in the afternoon. At 6pm the staff had left except the doctor. He was seeing one more patient and I left. They book 8 people in one time slot and some doctors will see 50 patients in a day. The corporation does not care about patients, staff or doctors. It is just corporate greed and the patient be damned. If it wasn't for the doctor I would never return. Their motto is "World class Eye care 7 days a week." What a joke.
