My experience at Peconic Bay Medical Center for my surgical procedure was excellent from start to finish. The ease of presurgical testing made the entire process much less stressful and very organized. Dr. Brian McKenna provided outstanding care and made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire experience. Nurse Mary was beyond compassionate, attentive, and supportive. I also want to recognize anesthesiologist Dr. Brian Bateson and his assistant Beth for their professionalism, kindness, and exceptional care. The recovery care I received was truly exceptional, and every staff member I encountered treated me with compassion, patience, and respect. The entire team made what could have been a difficult experience feel positive and reassuring. I am extremely grateful for the outstanding care I received and highly recommend Peconic Bay Medical Center

I've been to Peconic Bay Medical Center a few times, but this most recent visit blew me away. I came in for vomiting for 2 days and discovered I had to have my gallbladder removed. Everyone I interacted with from the moment I was brought in an ambulance to the emergency room was so caring and patient. I got a room right away, transfers were fast, and I didn't have to hunt down nurses and doctors to get answers. I didn't have a single negative experience with anyone, from the security guards to the medical staff to the cleaning staff. Everyone remembered me day to day, asked how I was doing, and were so friendly. It's clearly somewhere people enjoy working. Even when it was busy and they were short staffed you wouldn't ever know it. Nurses were attentive and came right away when I pressed my call button so I wasn't left waiting to use the bathroom. The surgical team met with me multiple times before and after surgery. I even nominated my nurse Patrick for the DAISY award. I couldn't have had a better experience for being in the hospital for 4 days and having emergency surgery! It was my first time being admitted into the hospital and could have been a lot scarier and stressful but everyone there was incredible. I'd even say my time there was pleasant for being sick and in pain. Oh, and the food they provide to patients is delicious, I was so surprised!
I had my daughter at Peconic two weeks ago, and I had a wonderful experience. Check-in was very easy and organized, all staff were polite and respectful. The nurses that cared for me and my baby were beyond incredible. The Doctors I saw were as well. The hospital itself isn’t as hectic as some of the other hospitals which makes the experience a little nicer as well. Quality care all around.
I cannot say enough amazing things about the labor and delivery team at Peconic Bay Medical Center. From start to finish, the care we received was nothing short of exceptional. We just welcomed our second baby here, and it was just as incredible as our first experience. Every nurse and doctor we encountered was not only highly skilled, but also genuinely compassionate, attentive, and supportive. You can truly tell when people love what they do—and it shines through in every interaction. They made us feel comfortable, safe, and cared for during one of the most important moments of our lives. There is honestly nowhere else I would rather give birth. We are so grateful to the entire team for making both of our experiences so special and memorable. Thank you for everything you do! 💙🩵
I recently had an open hysterectomy by incision at Peconic Bay. Surgery was performed by Dr Brian McKenna and Dr Bermann. They made a scary experience the absolute best it could be. Each and every person I came in contact with was knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. From Victoria, Amanda, Cassie, the Dr of anesthesia whose name escapes me but his kind face does not, to the recovery nurses…all were amazing and made me feel safe and cared for. Also, thank you to Tina Cuccio for her help with my pharmacy after my discharge. She has so much patience. I cannot say enough good things about Peconic Bay Medical Center and Dr Brian Patrick McKenna.
