Unless your a vip. Your experience here will not be what you expect. This modern day health care system is all about the money and less about the patient. Sorry to say I been to my doctor here at northwell and all he does is push me on to his partners. Its time to milk the insurance. She this one then this one and . Still sick and its not in my head . People asking me are you on a diet looks like your losing wait. Did every blood test. Just to show that im losing protein. They dont know why. But everything is fine. All test for an std/sti normal. Nothing . Check kidneys nothing normal but im still peeing protein. Still losing weight and all you can do is send me to other doctors who say everything is fine. Crazy work. Is it because I'm black. Im leaving these doctors care.

This hospital saved my parents life, they have great doctors and the respiratory is absolutely amazing !! The team at respiratory is kind and caring. However , the lack of care after you are out of ICU or in the ER waiting area is absolutely disgusting and inhumane. When admitted to the ER waiting room, My parent was left with a high fever and in pain , and they hid the vital signs from us. Patient waited an entire day for a room and treatment and was left with their paralyzed arm dangling off the rails , if it were not for us they would have suffered or passed. They do not listen to nonverbal patients pain queues like facial grimace. Instead of understanding patients may have more pain sensitivity than others, a doctor said BECAUSE IV is a standard routine he cannot give any pain meds. My parent was SCREAMING in pain!! It was so hard to watch! Because they are a dialysis patient , veins are more fragile than others and the doctor simply stared at me while I asked for something to be given while patient gets poked multiple times. Heartless. This happened multiple times where they did not understand not every patient has the same pain tolerance for simple procedures. ALWAYS listen to patients pain! They also left my parent curled up with stool all over their equipment in 4Monti. When I asked for them to clean my parent they did, but left the patients pulse ox and patient hands full of stool, so I cleaned them myself. When they were placed in a different unit, their IV kept beeping (again due to fragile thin veins) and instead of making adjustments and finding a solution, they threw out the rest of their medication saying they were “finished” , thinking we don’t understand IV. Nurse manager did nothing when I asked for assistance. Issues should be documented and solved , not ignored. Patient pain should be listened to , not what you think is painful or not. Pain is subjective and everyone is different. When they stopped eating absolutely no nurse came to feed them. I would walk in with the patients tray completely full and nobody documented these changes. My parent has also been discharged and readmitted multiple times due to issues not being addressed properly … you’re discharging an unwell patient they will just end up coming back. Imagine, I visited everyday. So imagine what they do to your non verbal loved ones when you’re not there. Do better, all patients deserve proper care. Non verbal, complicated , or non procedural, all deserve care.
I would like to thank Dr. Angali Patel and the entire team for their excellent care. You are truly a wonderful team. Nurse Nadia is an excellent nurse and provided great care. I would also like to appreciate the OR nurse, even though I do not remember her name. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to PACU Nurse Christine. She is an excellent nurse and a great asset to your facility. She took very good care of me during my stay. I would also like to thank Nurse Manju Mathew. She is an excellent nurse who provided great care and explained my discharge instructions very clearly. Thank you to all the team members who helped me during my surgery. I truly appreciate everything.
Recently had surgery and ended up staying in recovery room overnight. All the nurses were good but RN Matthew Houng was amazing. I didn't have to ask for anything. He made sure I was comfortable. I was so groggy. I didn't realize how much my neck and shoulder hurting from the surgical pillow until he went and got a regular pillow. He cleaned up the toilets before and after I used. Hung a makeshift curtain to block out the lights glaring on my eyes. Got extra warm blankets because I was cold. Everything he did was without my asking. Mr Matthew Houng is a Blessing from above. May God bless him and family with His Richest Blessings always. THANKS
I delivered my baby on December 9th in 2025. My delivery was an unscheduled C-section and I landed up alone and stayed there alone for the first 1.5hrs but the nurses took care in the triage room with doctor coming and going. Finally after 2 hours I had both my husband and my friend with me. I was partially dilated when arrived and could have delivered naturally too but based upon the on call duty doctor it was best to have C section as there wasn’t sufficient variance in baby’s heart beat. I was taken to OT after 4 hours of arrival and the room was spacious with many people inside. They went over all legal details. I was numb with both epidural and sedation medication, my husband was called in roughly 30 minutes after me going into OT and then in 45 minutes I had a healthy baby delivered and then getting stitched took another 30 minutes or so and I was moved to recovery room where nurses kept on rotating and I was kept warm and once I felt my legs biscuits and juice was offered. I was later moved to a spacious private room with private bathroom for my stay. Over there I could order meals on call three times a day and I could order Halal too. The food options were good from appetizers to main course to dessert. The room had a big sofa and table for my husband to stay and I could order meals for him too. I stayed three nights and the nurses were super helpful and came everytime I called them for anything that I needed be it in middle of the night. I was given very good care. I will say amazing service and friendly staff.
