Dr Hess and her team are wonderful. Caring, compassionate and thorough. I definitely recommend. I also want to point out the two lady’s who did my ultrasounds. Amazing women. Also compassionate and caring. The lady who did my mammogram was wonderful as well. If you are looking for a great team of lady’s look no further because NorthShore with Dr Hess and her team are 10/10

I highly recommend Portage Northshore. I was seen for a double eye infection yesterday. I told them the medicine I normally get from my eye Dr was expensive & I didn't have insurance at the moment so I couldn't get it. They had me fill out the sliding scale option to be seen. They were able to get my medicine for me at an affordable cost. My eyes are already in better condition due to the medication. Also the front desk woman, Lisette, was amazing! She took great care of my issues and was so kind. I believe the front desk to an office is important since that's the first and last place we have to deal with when going to a Dr. This is where I will go next time health issues arise. Thank you so much for being great at what you do!
As a nursing student completing my clinical rotation, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Medical Assistant Nae, Midwife B., and the entire OB/GYN team at NorthShore Health Centers in Portage. Thank you for creating such a welcoming and supportive learning environment. Your professionalism, compassion, teamwork, and dedication to providing high-quality care were evident every day. I truly appreciated the opportunity to observe and learn from a team that consistently demonstrates excellence and treats every patient with dignity and respect. Your willingness to teach, answer questions, and share your knowledge made my clinical experience both meaningful and inspiring. Leshia
Everytime I go to northshore theres an issue. Either the front didn't check in and sat for over n hr to find out i wasnt checked in and the dr was now on lunch. Thats one of many. This last visit seen Dr. Vora said my son needed medication. I had some to last me to the next day, where I was going to pick up at their pharmacy with paperwork next day when they called with paper work for pickup, told me my paper was up at the front desk I could come get it. So I went to go and grab said papers at the front desk and meds. Pharmacy has nothing for my son and no papers at the front desk waiting for me. I sat waiting for 40 mins for papers that was supposed to be up there and still no medication. I having to stop and buy when my insurance covers meds. Its always something... but without a doubt always an issue and poor service. Owner responded to contact off to speak with them.. There is no extention to speak to Owner. Just transfered to multiple people with end out come of not help nor speaking to Owner.
I was misinformed and told to schedule testing with a primary care doctor, reception scheduled me to see Dr. Arnautovic after I repeatedly clarified the testing needed. The day of the appointment, I checked in and had a history and vitals done by the nurses assistant. I stated again the testing I was there for and Dr. Arnautovic came in. Dr. Arnautovic quickly brushed me off and told me I was mistaken and to schedule with someone else. I stated this would be my third appointment regarding getting a diagnosis. I asked who would I need to speak to to get correct scheduling and Dr. Arnautovic simply walked out of the room. The nurse shortly came back in with a referral I told Dr. Arnautovic I already had. This experience has left me feeling ignored and frustrated. Not once from scheduling to getting my vitals was I told this appointment was with the wrong department. The doctor was less than helpful and didnt see the need to help me. Its sad that bedside manner is a rarity these days.
