Doc was thorough - however she ran over an hour late to the appointment. It took over a month to get contacts and then another month to get my glasses. I had to consistently remind her that I had not gotten my glasses - no follow up on her end and then got sprung with an additional cost when I came to pick up glasses. I was not offered my prescription for the glasses to comparison shop and had to call and text a few times to get my own info. Eye Care is great, costumer service is terrible and I wouldn't be surprised if the FTC issued her a violation for not giving glasses prescription to patients.

Hilary and Paul were kind. The process for an eye exam and selecting glasses did not take too long. They had a lot to offer in conversation which was a lovely social aspect. They also provided glasses of great prices. My only downside was that I felt like I was being too persuaded to spend extra money.

DO NOT GO HERE! Zero stars! She had my daughter and I pick out frames from HER selection on Sept 7th. She told us it would take about a week and a half for my daughter's glasses to come in. I paid out of pocket after insurance $62.00 for frames and an upsell of some glare scratch coating stuff that she said we absolutely need. On october 3rd I was calling looking to pick up. She told me she couldn't remember what we did? Gave me another phone number of hers to txt. I did txt and she still didn't answer, nor ever answered again. I have all screenshots of my calls. I then call my vision insurance company after she still didn't respond. They told me she had not submitted the frames to them AND it said patient submitted their own frames to her. That is NOT TRUE! We picked them from HER selection. This was my daughter's first eye exam in life at 16yrs old. How would we have known that she would even need glasses in the first place, before having the eye exam, in order to bring in our own frames ahead of time?? We aren't psychic. The eye exam took her 3 freaking hours to administer because she did lots and lots of talking about nonsense not eye care related, all personal stuff which ranged from and included her telling my daughter that she had a nice butt, where did she buy her leggings from and how her sister has deterred her from wearing them over the years with negatively rude comments that I won't post the specific details of which she said to us and about her overall personal relationship with her sister. My daughter and I had to reassure and comfort her... Awkward situation! Her exam room is dusty, messy, cluttered, numerous old broken eyeglass display cases and large eyeglass carrousels tobbled over on each other with just stuff on top of stuff everywhere-all thick of dust. Isn't dust not good for your eyes?? I do not know what possessed me to stay and endure this place, her erratic behavior and then to not even receive my daughter's glasses after putting up with all that! Eventually took my daughter to another eye doctor and told him what happened. He KNEW whom I was speaking of without me saying her name or location. He said he's had a good number of people come to him after dealing with her. I'm going to report our experience with the state, and/or whomever that oversees optometrists. I will be persistent like no other!

This was the worst experience I have ever had! First, the office is extremely tight and unorganized. The doctor can never remember what she told me or where we left off. Files are left all over the place as they give you an exam in what looks like a storage facility. Among the silence in the office, it is very uncomfortable to hear the tension/arguing between the the two doctors. Upon going for multiple pointless follow ups, I found they were unprepared which prolonged the entire process. I highly recommend looking elsewhere before wasting your time here. Based on the response from owner: 1) I was never prescribed contacts from another doctor (suction cup lenses from you). 2) 3 months of follow ups because it took weeks between appointments to get one. Not to mention, doctor wasn't prepared with new trials when I called ahead for the next fitting. 3) In regards to the follow up,I didnt think it was necessary to sit in through an hour wait after a long day at work every appt. 4) Benefitted from nothing as I still do not have "healthier and comfortable" contacts. (never worse contacts in the past- unorganization shows misinformation)

A friend recommended me to Dr Hillary Morgenstern O.D and Dr. Guy Bismuth, OD, PhD for new glasses and contacts and I'm that glad I followed his advice! The experience was excellent because of the quality in Hillary's and Guy's knowledge, communication skills, and care. I paid for one of the highest caliber lenses that they offer and they are amazing. They tint up a lot in the sun but do not reduce quality in your vision. They have a great selection of frames ranging within a wide price range so no worries on not finding the right frame for you. Hillary was very flexible with me on pricing also. Dr. Guy Bismuth took great care to make sure that my new presciption was better than 20/20! I highly recommend going to Nyack Eyecare anything glasses and/or contacts related. Hillary really went out of her way to stay in direct communication with me as I awaited the arrival of my glasses/contacts so expect great service! A+!
