REVIEW OF THE GIFT SHOP The gift shop is in the main lobby on 68th off york. After you go thru security and get a badge, go right around the security desk and the gift shop is straight ahead just a few steps. Lots of standard gift items like stuffed animals, cards, lots of small items, all on the left side. On the right side, they have lots of food snacks and some bottled drinks. Clerk was very pleasant. Prices are as you would expect for a hospital gift shop.

I’m in the kids ER. While my child need to be attended to I’m going through several spam in my entire back. I was accused by an African American nurse with braid that I am having attitude. I’m trying to explain to her but was turn over to speak with a police. All I needed was my daughter clothes. We in hall way waiting with 2 other kid. A 9 yrs old and a 2 year old. 5/2/2026-5/3/2026 presently at 12:53 am.
At this ER with my mom. Its been 6 hours. For some reason the CT scan is delayed for everyone. My mom was told WAY LATER that she was gonna get one, even though initially it was not mentioned. When I asked patient services how long till my mom can get the CT scan done they said "a few hours"... but theres NO ONE here.. Besides that, the doctor has not spoken to her since shift change and the only thing done for her was 3 Tylenol pills from a nurse. Shes seen a bunch of different nurses but NO DOCTOR working her case or talking to her about her results. She's still actively in pain.
Overall, my experience at New York-Presbyterian included both positive and challenging moments. Some members of the staff were respectful, supportive, and attentive, and I appreciated the care and professionalism I received from them. There were moments where I felt understood and treated with dignity, which helped during a difficult time. At the same time, I also experienced interactions that felt dismissive or impersonal, which made me feel uncomfortable and emotionally unsettled while I was already vulnerable. This affected how safe and supported I felt during my visit. Overall, my experience was mixed. While I recognize that many staff members were doing their best and were helpful, I felt that communication and emotional support could have been more consistent throughout my stay. I feel if victim was assaulted like I was staff should be more attentive but yeah I had mixed feelings feelings but I hope if any assault victim experience coming there get better treatment from staff
This hospital has been my parent's local hospital for 80 years. There are some great nurses and doctors, and also many who are very lax and the ER is often backed up leaving patients in hallways and unattended. I've witnessed fall risk patients left unaided when they needed timely assistance. I'm not sure what the remedy is, but if you can, please ensure you or someone is there to help advocate for proper care.
