The entire ICU staff are AMAZING! I wasn’t even conscious and I was given the BEST possible care. I landed in the ICU for 4 days and then in recovery for 4 days after having a seizure, smashing my face on the subway platform, and inhaling my teeth into my lungs. I can say with confidence that if I had gone to ANY OTHER hospital, I wouldn’t be writing this review because I’d be dead so they could harvest my organs and give them to someone with better insurance… I’ve had so many negative experiences with my family in other hospitals when they had an emergency…if they had come to this hospital-they’d probably be alive! This was the scariest experience I’ve ever had to live through and I am so eternally grateful to everyone who helped me. The staff at NYU Langone are so kind and supportive. Literally every single person I encountered was amazing. The Phlebotomists, Radiologic Techs, RN’s, Doctors, Patient Transport Specialists, Housekeeping, Dietary- I mean EVERYONE! I received better emergency care here than I did at Lenox Hill and I was fully conscious for that one. Thank you for saving my life. I cannot wait to thank you in person but for now- THIS IS THE BEST HOSPITAL IN NEW YORK CITY, HANDS DOWN! You guys ROCK! ❤️

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital. I don’t even have the patience to write it all out. -there was a random cop charging his phone in my room which is definitely a hippa violation -the staff had inappropriate conversation about drug use right outside the rooms -they were extremely slow and not in a normal hospital way. I mean 3 hours to see the doctor. -they left cups of urine(the one in the picture is bloody urine for a patient that was already discharged 2 hours prior) in the room -after waiting multiple hours without seeing my Dr or nurse, I almost took out my own IV Honestly the list goes on…. Please do not go here looking for any type of professionalism or resolution.

I recently had a surgical procedure last Friday, 06/12/2026, and I am very grateful to everyone who took care of me, from registration, to the intake team, and to the entire surgical/nursing team. I was home that same day and on my way to full recovery, . I cannot thank you enough. One very positive and very lasting encounter I have during my hospital visit was with Ms. Maria Plasencia (hope I got her name correctly) as I was at the discharge lounge. Obviously, I wasn't fully well yet, still trying to recoup through the lingering effects of general anesthesia, but she was very passionate and caring, and she did so with everyone else. I knew I wasn't fully recovered yet at that point and I am sure I didn't look well enough as I remember trying to fight off falling asleep. She made sure that I was okay, and I even remember hearing her call the postop team to let them know how I was presenting at that point, just in case I got worse. What was so generous of her was that she went out of her way to buy me a hot chicken noodle soup out of her own money, as she figured taking something hot would help me get through the lingering effects of anesthesia. She didn't have to do it, but she did, and for that I cannot thank her enough. She is a great representation of what the organization is trying to achieve as a medical provider, and I am not sure if I told her that day, but she really and truly is a excellent ambassador to the NYU brand. Again, to Maria and to the entire medical, nursing and support team/s , thank you very much. I am truly grateful.

Had a great experience with the Peds ER in March after a bad experience at Maimonides. My baby had an accident with the stroller and we wanted to go to NYU first but the ambulance could only bring us to Maimo 🙄. After a terrible experience and a missed diagnosis, I went to NYU two days later after my daughter developed a hematoma on her head. Thankfully, these docs found the problem! From the moment we checked in until we were discharged, the staff was amazing! They all have amazing bedside manner. The nurses were also SO kind. Dr. Gifford listened to us and gave us such detailed information about my daughter’s injury and recovery. We really had a great experience and were out pretty quickly. The only reason for 4 stars is because the waiting room experience needs improvement. It’s not big enough and not that clean. One other thing to mention is that there was a mistake in our discharge papers regarding my daughter condition. Still had a great experience though.

Dear Emergency Department Team, I’m writing to express my sincere gratitude for the care and compassion you showed during my recent visit. Moments in the emergency room can feel overwhelming, but your professionalism, kindness, and calm presence made a meaningful difference. The nurse Amanda thank you for your attentiveness, patience, and the way you made me feel seen and cared for every step of the way. And to the doctors—thank you for your expertise, clear communication, and the reassurance you provided when it mattered most. You all work in such a fast-paced and demanding environment, yet you still manage to bring warmth and humanity into what could otherwise be a very stressful experience. That truly stands out. I deeply appreciate everything you do, not just for me, but for every patient who walks through your doors. With heartfelt thanks, Roman Ivanov
