I was really happy to find such a nice vision center close to home. The office was nice and staff was friendly. Overall the experience was great until the end of my visit. At check out, the provider had the front desk just start ringing me up for contacts. As someone who has to be mindful with money, I kindly said I was going to check online first and compare costs before making a purchase. Upon me saying that, the Dr. asked I not return to their office in the future and go to a corporate provider for my needs if I do not purchase contacts from them today. I absolutely understand supporting small businesses, but I left feeling embarrassed since financially I had to find the most cost efficient pricing for contacts. Not to mention, I didn’t leave the office scot-free, I still paid for an exam and retina photos. They will also get to bill my insurance for the remainder of the visit as well. Anyways, for this reason I won’t be returning. I just moved to the area and so did my family and as a result they won’t be coming in for a visit either. You would think returning business and referrals would be more important to an independent provider than a portion of your contact purchase. Like I said above the office was nice and the staff was friendly, but overall I didn’t leave feeling very good about that interaction.
