I love this office! We have seen both Dr. Roy’s and our family is very happy. The staff is so kind and helpful. Stephanie was EXCEPTIONAL in teaching my son how to wear contacts for the first time. She is so patient and kind!!! Thank you so much Oakland Optometry.

The doctor is really friendly and professional. I think the receptionists are too. They helped me figure things out with insurance frames every year now, helping to figure out glasses that fit my requirements due to circumstances out of my control. Would indeed recommend to anyone.

Only leaving one star for the doctor cause he is very respectful and professional. Now, the two receptionists on the other hand are the most unprofessional and rudest woman I have ever met in my life. I have been going here for years and never had a pleasant experience with either the blonde or Brunette receptionist ladies because of their horrible attitudes. I went to ask a couple questions for ordering new glasses and they just sat there and laughed and were incredibly disrespectful the whole time. This doctor needs to do something about this because they are ruining the office and making me never want to come back there due to how uncomfortable I am every time I go in there because of their nasty attitudes and disrespectful remarks. The second you walk into that office, they are Mean and give you a dirty look for no reason. Apparently you are not allowed to ask questions because they will just laugh. be passive aggressive and get mad that they have to actually do their simple job and give a patient more information.

I am not a patient but a customer who walked in for glasses last month. My son, who is 14, sees a different optometrist and unfortunately they did not have a wide selection. I am so glad I found this place, the selection of glasses here are amazing. Stephanie was working and helped him find the perfect match. I appreciate good service as a walk in customer, especially with an impatient teenager. Thank you, Stephanie!!!

After many years going to an optometry office in Troy I decided it was time to make a change and made an appointment with Oakland Optometry in Rochester for my yearly eye exam. I knew right away my decision to switch was the correct one. My eye exam was what I believe to me the most thorough one I have had in years. In addition, Dr. Roy recommended I switch to daily contacts vs. monthly contacts which I did and love. I would recommend Dr. Roy if you need an eye exam in Rochester or in the surrounding area. The staff (Ann Marie and Stephanie) was very friendly and professional. They took time to show me many different styles of prescription sunglasses – no pressure sales which I appreciated. I found a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses which I love as well.
