We visited Oakley Santa Monica to purchase the Oakley Meta HSTN, and had an amazing experience. The staff were professional, kind, and very knowledgeable. They took the time to explain every feature and let us fully try on and test the glasses, which made a big difference. The store atmosphere is clean and professional, and the overall service felt very high quality. We live nearby and come to Santa Monica often, so we’re really happy to have such a great location close to us. I’m already planning to come back and get a pair for myself! Highly recommend!

This is a very unique store. They went over and beyond to treat us the way we would like to be treated. This is one of those rare occurrences where the people listen, they really care, and will be empathetic to previous issues you’ve had at other stores. On a local and national level I highly recommend going to this store because there is no eyeglass store like it where people are sincere and want you leave as a satisfied customer on a personal and a customer level. You won’t regret it.

Incredible customer service from Brett + John! I had an issue with a placed order - and they both worked on getting everything sorted for me! Great customer service here!!! So thankful

John (middle aged, 5'4, beard with glasses) - Fragile ego escalated a non-issue/simple exchange. Brett, the store manager, raised his voice and remained confrontational throughout the interaction rather than doing what leadership should do — listen, assess, and work toward understanding. I came in expecting a routine exchange and instead encountered an immediate wall of defensiveness from both the supervisor, John, and the store manager, Brett. John started in a condescending tone, said the missing outer box meant an exchange wouldn’t happen, and repeatedly suggested the glasses had been worn and damaged. Brett then took over and pointed to what he claimed was a scratch before anyone tried the most basic step of cleaning the lens. I asked them to wipe it with solution before accusing me. Instead, the questioning continued and the situation felt more like an interrogation than customer service. John stood nearby staring at me and at times laughing, while both he and Brett spoke in a way that felt openly dismissive. With two members of management aligned against me, it was clear my explanation didn’t matter. I told Brett his approach felt aggressive. John immediately responded that I was the aggressive one, and Brett denied being confrontational. Other customers in the store appeared visibly uncomfortable watching it unfold. Only after the lens was finally wiped did it become clear the mark was a smudge. Even after being proven wrong, the tone never reset. I left surprised at how quickly management chose blame over a simple verification that would have prevented the entire incident.

Brett is the GOAT. Was just looking around and he gave me a technical deep dive into Oakley glasses including some pictures on his phone from the factory. Great guy, great store
