I highly recommend Obsidian Eyewear if you are looking for high end frames which are unique, fashionable, and aren't owned by the megacoporation luxottica. I got a pair of Kio Yamatos here and the entire experience was fantastic. The store is excellently manicured and feature frames from independent designers from across the globe. The staff even keep treats and candies which are specific to the region where the frames originate to enhance the experience. The staff are friendly, personable, and offer excellent advice and recommendations for frames that fit your face and your personal style.

I worked with Adam (owner) for many years selling eyewear, and I always looked up to his expertise in both style and precise adjustments . Since then, I’ve moved away from the Pgh area, but recently I needed a new exam, frames, and lenses. I was so relieved to learn that Adam opened his shop Obsidian Exceptional Eyewear, and I knew I would receive the same experience I trusted. It was absolutely with the 4 hour drive to see him. With Adam’s help, I found the perfect pair. The glasses needed to be sent to me, but I was reassured that if I needed adjustments or issues he was there to help me. When they arrived, they were perfect-and included was lens cleaner, which was a thoughtful touch . They had a great selection of frames! Adam was knowledgeable related to what frames would work with my complicated prescription and would also look fabulous on me. The glasses came and I was thrilled at how sharp everything looked with the newest technology. Please note my prescription had not changed, but this Camber pure was a game changer. I could not be happier.

I needed a pair of glasses that I could wear while riding my motorcycle wearing my full face helmet. I pulled up on my bike, walked in and was great with a warm hello, yet a firm how can I help you. It was so easy to work with Adam and I never felt pressured. I had so many options and I was able to take my time and tried on so many options. I had never had prescription sunglasses and now my world has changed. I bought a clear pair of flying eye / magnetic clip on blue shade and a pair of sunglasses. After riding for hours and hours I have never had any issues while wearing my new glasses. Let’s talk about when you are out of state, break your new pair of glasses and want to. Get a replacement ASAP and as easy as you can. I called Obsodian while on Arizona and spoke to Justin. He immediately made me feel like I was in store yesterday. Justin took great care of me and made it so easy to get my order moving. I highly recommend giving them a visit and see for yourself self.

Adam was extremely patient with me as I tried on a ton of styles of glasses. Ending up deciding on one he picked for me!
