The food court was excellent breakfast. And the medical imaging was a fast and very painless experience. I would recommend for that clinic again. The chapel is a good place to stop in as well. And I have included photos of my visit to it.

My experience was okay yesterday. I felt like my underlying issues were not resolved. My status was unknown and kept getting the run around. I also had a decent experience with the nurses, but initially when tests were ran I kept getting poked multiple times and now I have bruising. Instead of them waiting for a vein to properly appear or allowing me to hydrate. My phlebotomist did better at my primary care doctor for labs and she was pretty new. I also had a nurse who I did not know the name of.. unfortunately I didn’t know none of their names. She was a bit rude, when I asked for advice and an update. But, the other nurses were nice just not really attentive or listening to some of my needs. My doctor was initially great as well, but then I got another one. And, he was great but yet I still feel like my issues are not resolved and weren’t addressed. Also, my partner was there and heard the nurses gossiping and sitting around while I was resting in the ER area with the recliners. I’d rather have a nurse who is attentive and patient with me/others. Instead of one who is here just for the job. Please have nurses who are experienced or nurses who are willing to ask for help when needed.

In June I went for a mammogram with contrast but they weren’t able to insert the catheter. I had to reschedule it and during the second appt, the fist try failed. Crystal, who was administering the contrast and the mammogram talked to Laurie. I was getting nervous but they went above and beyond to be reassuring. They were so incredibly upbeat and competent that it actually turned out to be the best experience I have ever had at Ochsner.

I had my first appt with Dr Chhaya Patel in the neurology dept. I have been very sick for a while now and it was so heartwarming to see how I could just feel the care and compassion that she exuded during my appt. My illness is progressively getting worse and I so appreciate her since of urgency in ordered all the tests and letting me know after all these tests we will work together to get to the bottom of all of my health issues. She not only is very caring and compassionate as my dr but she is extremely intelligent and knows her specialty. I feel like I couldn’t be in better hands. Thank you so much Dr Patel for going on this journey with me to get well!

Excellent care teams, almost every single employee we have interacted with (during the worst moments in our life) has been extremely respectful and kind. Dr. Ochsner’s quote rings true through this entire facility. They treat patients, not diseases. I wish we had been here from the beginning, I feel that things would have improved and not declined. Thank you all for everything you have done for us.
