Dr. Jiminez-Soto is really empathetic and thorough in her exam and questions - when she describes the care plan and what’s going on that needs work, she explains it in terms I can understand. She and the whole dental team were really focused, kind, polite, and non-judgmental - they were mindful of my dental office anxiety and effectively helped me calm down. I feel much safer and in much better hands than I did with my last dentist. I was really grateful that unlike most providers in my insurance network where I live, they were able to get me in for an intake exam within the week at the Ossining office. Well worth commuting over an hour! I feel really grateful that I’m receiving dental care from Dr. Jimenez-Soto and the team at Open Door.

I started coming here while in-between insurance companies. I will never go anywhere else. The service is incomparable!! It is always, always, ALWAYS a pleasure to deal with Open Door. The entire staff is the EPITOME of kind, efficient, and professional. They treat all patients with compassion and dignity. There is no place better than Open Door Family Medical Center. I am so grateful to everyone there. Thank you.

I don’t recommend this office because they don’t really care about anyone. The manager is charge Denise Uzca and assistant Blanca are the worst of the worst because they treat the patients badly and the employees too my wife is a patient there and she had an appointment the other day and she saw them yelling at a poor employee in front of everyone is not the first time she has experienced such an embarrassing situation and abuse from the ladies in charge that’s why I wanted to leave this review because is just a shame they act that way, they should be punished or even fired because this is a community healthcare facility and patients + employees should be treated the same way not with disrespect. Next time I see them yelling at someone else we will record them and we will send it to corporate.

This dentist don’t even deserve “1star” , do not waste your time taking your child here, especially If you need surgical tooth removal for your child. I worked in the dentist before, and I explained everything to the representative. The representative still booked my kids To turn around and say they have to refer my kid out to a specialist I feel like I wasted my time. The doctor said we will call you when the referral gets approved because your insurance has to approve the referral. It’s been three weeks mind you my son has an infection (he has antibiotics ) I called back the office two representative argued and said that no one from this office will be calling you. Your insurance is the one to call you which I end up talking to a manager from that office and the manager said I’m sorry but the two representative did not know what they were talking about and you were correct. We are supposed to call you ..I sounded like an angry black woman that didn’t know what I was talking about to find out I was right the whole time mind you The two girls never came on the phone to apologize ……..I called my insurance just to make sure that they had a referral in place ….My insurance tells me they never put the referral so I had to do an emergency referral with a different dental office on my own and then, open door dental calls me the next day just to tell me hey your insurance approved the referral but for a different dental group and I said well it’s because you guys never put the referral, honey!!!! Open door dental come off like you guys don’t care and it shows ……get it together!!!!!

The experience at open door center make us have very mix feelings, the people that take care of you once you get inside are very nice and professional and explain to you everything on detail. However the front desk people and especially the people that call to confirm the appointments or schuldule are very unprofessional and I can even say very rude to the patient, almost like they are doing you a favor, and make you feel like you are kind bother them. It would be good for someone to remind them that the reason for them to be there are the patients, and shouldn't be a pain to deal with them. I noticed that a lot of the patients are not English-speaking and I believe thats why they probably don't say anything even when the probably felt that they are not being treated equally, or sometimes even when they speak to you in Spanish they do not talk to you in a professional tone. Believe me I am the manager of customer service for a health care company and I was very surprised on the way they treat their patients there.
