Great experience at Optic Gallery with Dr. Joseph Lao. I went in for an eye exam while feeling a panic attack coming on, and he was very calm, patient, and helped me relax. He also made sure my exam went smoothly and that I got the prescription I needed. Really appreciated his kindness and care highly recommend!
Worst Service ever..did not even wish to have the doctor see me due to the RUDE YOUNG Lady, whom had me refill out paperwork, and then tell me to reschedule my appointment because I could not find the place as explained and then wanted me to come back in 3 weeks..I was there before her so called scripted 15 minute policy. She is the one who had me redoing paperwork. Keep having people be this your 1st point of contact and you dont have to wonder why your sales and practice gets rated like this. My time is just as Valueable and I only spend my hard earned money where its appreciated. Will not ever come here and will update my insurance company on the poor service and lack of logistic professionalism.
Love the doctor but the staff needs some training. Both my sons are autistic. My youngest is still under my insurance and my oldest has Medicaid. After my sons exams they were about to look at glasses when one of the individuals working there came up to see if they needed help. The individual who approached them treated them different based on their insurance. She showed my youngest the men's glasses on floor and then took my oldest over to a drawer with glasses to tried to show him those. My husband said they were a lot cheaper, to him they didn't look as nice. I was still going thru my exam so wasn't there when they were picking out the glasses, by the time I got done their glasses where picked out and my husband told me about it after we already left. We have gone to several eye places and this is the first place where my sons were treated differently based on their insurance. Also, there's ways of handling situations without making it seem as if individuals are being treated differently.
The staff at Optic Gallery are amazing! They all took great care of me and got mu granddaughter in quickly because she is moving out of state soon and needed her new glasses before she leaves! Love Optic Gallery
Dr. Lao is an incredibly knowledgeable and kind doctor who truly cares about his patients' needs. He took the time to consult with me and guide me on the best way to recover my vision, which I’ve been struggling with after retina surgery. The entire staff is also very kind, helpful, and attentive. I highly recommend Dr. Lao and his team—I’ve already recommended them to my sister!
