Just had a visit for an eye exam and prescription update… I have developed appointment and doctor office anxiety after dealing with a Breast cancer diagnosis last summer.. I was nervous for this appointment.. but once I got there I immediately felt welcome and comfortable. Everyone was nice and greeted me when I walked in. The technician was super kind and sweet as well. I wish I had gotten names ! The person who helped me choose my glasses was also so patient and sweet. I am rocking very short hair right now after losing my hair to chemo.. she didn’t rush me and let me try on as many pairs as needed. Overall experience was awesome !

Overall, Optic Gallery on Water Street is a good place to procure a prescription and to get glasses. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, they have a nice selection of frames, and their prices are on a par with other similar places. I'd have given them a 5, but unfortunately, whichever lab they use to produce their lenses has a very poor "transition" feature process. When I got my glasses and tried them out in bright sun, they performed poorly. The transition was uneven and caused stripes of brighter and darker shading across my lenses. I brought the glasses back three different times to be replaced, and the problem kept occurring. Ultimately, I asked for a refund for the cost of the feature, and to their credit, they quickly complied. In summary, I'd recommend this business if transition lenses are not a priority for you. If you are an outdoors-oriented person or play sports in bright sunlight, I recommend you do NOT use them, until or unless they resolve the issue with their lab.
I had a nice experience yesterday. Although the purpose of the visit was for review of my new glasses. They lenses appeared to not have been aligned. The doctor that saw me was very friendly and the staff were all very helpful. The issue appeared to be identified but I cannot be sure until receive the glasses back with the updated lenses.
Glad to report I still have sight. Check-in was easy, and the staff helped me sort out my new insurance before the exams. I opted for the $30 snapshot of the back of my eye, and Dr. Hahn said it looks incredible. Theresa helped me pick new frames. I went through Gucci, Tom Ford, and Spy, and settled on the Tom Fords this time. They're light with a matte blue finish that looks great. Bonus: Theresa took them into a back room and molded them to my gigantic head so they don't fit too tight. Dr. Hahn also did a great job easing me into the conversation about progressive lenses. I didn't go for them today, but I'm pretty sure they're in my future. If you're near the Lake Mead location, do yourself a favor and go. Dr. Hahn kept my eyes in check, Theresa kept my frames from strangling my oversized head, and I walked out happy. Can't ask for more than that.
Staff was helpful. The selection of glasses was great. Current styles. Dr Hahn was helpful and accurate in her assessment of my prescription. They are very efficient. The whole process did not take long. They were properly staffed and well trained.
