Wonderful experience selecting new frames at OptimEyes. They have lots of frames to choose from. Brendan was very helpful with narrowing down choices in the style we liked. He is clearly very experienced, because he also repaired a pair of bent frames for us that I assumed were broken beyond repair. Thanks Brendan!

I recently visited Optim Eyes for an exam and unfortunately had a frustrating experience due to insurance confusion. I had recently switched insurance plans, and when I arrived for my appointment, I noticed a sign at the desk stating that contact lens fittings would cost between $100–$150. That caught my attention, so I immediately called my insurance provider right there in Optim Eyes before my appointment began. I was advised to find an in-network location so I would not have to pay the out-of-network price for the contact fitting. When the doctor asked from across the room if I was ready, I responded that unfortunately I was not, since I had just learned that Optim Eyes was now out of network under my new insurance plan. She replied in a noticeably irritated tone, saying that she had told me that on the phone. While she did mention that only the medical exam would be performed, the specific term “out of network” was never clearly stated. Since I am not in the insurance or medical field, I rely on providers to clearly communicate that type of terminology. Had it been explained using those words, I would have understood the situation beforehand. The tone of the interaction made the situation more uncomfortable than it needed to be and left me feeling dismissed. That said, I do want to recognize Ely at the front desk. She was amazing — calm, professional, and helpful — and she did her best to smooth over the interaction, which I truly appreciated. I hope the Dr. can work on clearer communication regarding insurance matters and maintaining a more patient-centered approach when misunderstandings arise.

I have been going to OptimEyes for years. They are friendly, helpful, and caring. My whole family goes here now and we are all very happy. If we ever need anything we can just call and they are there to help. Everyone there always goes above and beyond for us. We are grateful to have a nice place like this to go to for our eye care needs!

I was here only once. I loved the Doctor. She was extremely nice and gentle. There are so many additional add-ons on prescribed glasses so you can end spending a lot and unexpected.... I'm not experienced in Optometry section since I don't have that problem so far, so just know what you need and if you need it before agreeing
