The dermatology clinic had me waiting 3 months for an appointment just to waste my time. I’m so incredible upset. The staff at the front desk have an attitude and are too focused scrolling on TikTok to pay attention to the people coming in. Jasmine has a horrible attitude and unhelpful. Horrible experience honestly.
Made this Appt over a month and half ago. My appt was at 3:30. I arrived 3:10pm . Gentlemen at the front desk was nice but that’s about it. I explained to them I had another Dr appt at 4:15 right up the street will that be enough time they said yes. I waited til 3:50 before I told the gentleman I have to leave in 20 min to make it to my next appt. I waited til 4:10 and still none of the nurse assistant came to get me after the gentleman called the back office and told them I’d have to leave. Finally I got up and left waiting 55 MIN no one came to help til i told them I have to leave. Definitely not going back to see Dr Shoemaker they always except us to show up early but never get us in on time
Called and told them that I was running 20 mins late to the appointment would I have to reschedule or is there a grace period. The nice lady told me that it was fine as long as it’s not past 30 mins. We arrive to pediatric and the lady at the desk told us we’ll have to reschedule because the appointments only last 20 mins and we were already past that. I’m livid because we live in Waterford this a very far drive and this appointment was really important for me because of some concern I have for my daughter. I just wish communication was better, I would’ve rescheduled and turned back around. I’m not sure if I wanna come back, this was already stressful enough for me.
I wish I could give 0 stars. Dermatology is awful. Go somewhere else, don’t accept their “solutions” that leave you with large permanent facial scars and a ridiculous amount of money due. The lack of communication left me with an almost $1k bill I wasn’t expecting (and am still paying off from 2025) and a permanent scar from what I was led to believe was a routine procedure to handle my issue. I found out from other dermatologists the “solution” I was given would be a last resort for them. I will never give Henry ford another chance at damaging my body and my finances again.
Dr S was absolutely fantastic. A couple of the receptionists need to put a smile on their face or at least not come across grumpy and with an attitude
