Great visit! The front desk always sets the tone. The staff there is friendly, professional, efficient and helpful. I enjoy them. The assistant who checked my pressures, and did the other preliminary tests, dealt with me in a kind, calm and courteous manner. Her demeanor made me feel comfortable. Dr. Wells is a good listener. He’s easy to talk to, empathetic, thoughtful and deliberate in his explanations, and thorough. I never feel rushed through my appointment. Added bonus: He’s a sharp dresser! I appreciate his unique sense of style. It’s nice he takes the time to put himself together “visually”, him being in the “vision business” and all. Thanks, everyone, for a pleasant yearly exam. P.S. Who wouldn’t love an optometric office with this Halloween decoration out front!?

My husband and I have gone to Dr. Majors for many years and have always been pleased. Able to get an appointment rather quickly, no long wait once at the appointment. The office staff is very professional, knowable about insurance, and just all around pleasant to deal with. The technicians that administer the eyes are always friendly and patient. Dr Major is the best. Never in a rush, takes the time to cover everything, make sure you understand. A very pleasant person. Highly recommend!!

Only thing I didn't like was having my eyes checked with 2 other clients. Made me nervous when they were talking and I was trying to follow my medical assistants instructions. Otherwise I loved everything else, the Dr. was wonderful in explaining everything to me, thank you. I will most definitely recommend this office!

I was a client and spent a couple of thousand dollars last year (2025) at this place to refill 4 eyeglass frames (I like having options). On 8/11/2026 I came in for an eye exam specifically for contacts to use for a very very important family event out of town -- my daughter's wedding. The optometrist Wells knew the reason, the front desk people knew the reason, and another person named Sadie knew that day I needed the contacts in time for me to bring by 8/26. A week later on 8/17 we called them to follow up, only to find out my contacts HAD NOT BEEN ORDERED. The timid worker we spoke with appeared to say she would order my contacts as soon as possible - but there was no reason for me to be confident about their ability to deliver at that point. We asked to speak with Wells the optometrist but was given the run-around - apparently he was at a different location and we were told he would call us back Friday of the same week. No phone call arrived. The following week, on 8/24, we were about to leave for the family event out of town, the contacts have not arrived, and therefore we demanded a refund for the eye exam, which we received only after a justified angry demand on my husband's part and after threatening to report this business to the Board of Optometry. The manager called me back to explain that the contacts were "backordered" (if true, no one called me in any case to keep me updated) and to tell me that my husband yelled at her. I think it's about time someone yelled at these people. The waiting and silence caused me needless worrying, and no one had the courtesy to keep me updated. The bottom line is they waited a WHOLE week to order my contacts, and whether they were trials or not, it doesn't matter, because they were not ordered in a timely fashion when it was clear why I came in in the first place. I am very dissatisfied with the service I received, and definitely not returning to this business. It is incompetent service. (The manager offered to give me distance contacts as a substitute on 8/24, but the timing --13 days following my eye exam -- was inconvenient given my work schedule; we were leaving for the family event in a couple days, and certainly the experience has soured by that point.)

Dr. Major and staff always provide exceptional service. Dr. Major takes the time to explain my eye health, comparing past data and advising me on current research. I recommend him highly.
