Optometrist Inside Cohen'S Fashion Optical

I bought glasses here a few years ago during my time studying at Columbia University and they WERE honest and fair priced... To my surprise when I sent my husband there( who is not from the U.S.), he was completely taken advantage of... leaving with glasses priced a 1k$+ ( w/ great insurance). My husband asked for the issue to be addressed an hour or so after only to be told there was nothing they could do ( the frame was there in the store and the lens hadn't been placed... I cannot believe it! !!!Buyers beware!!!! Local students included.

I can definitely say the staff in Cohen's Optical located in Morningside Heights is the best!!! From the moment you walk into the store to finding your favorite frames you will feel like family. Thank you all for going far and beyond to help me find my frames and making the purchase experience fast and easy. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Love my frames 🥰

I went to Cohen’s today and had a very unpleasant experience with Padmini. The first two staff members were kind but were not able to help me with an exchange. From the moment I started conversing with Padmini, I was met with an attitude and defense. I understand not wanting to process an exchange or wanting to negotiate for the business, but not at the expense of poor customer service. She began by telling me a store credit was only available after 1 day of purchase when the receipt clear states “30 days”. Then, she was willing to give me a store credit, but when I asked what’s the difference between a store credit and an exchange, she didn’t seem to have the answer or proper solution. My initial experience with Cohen was positive, the manager was helpful and so were the other staff members. However, when I returned to the store to exchange my glasses (within the 30 day window), I left with no resolution and frustration, only the feeling of a company/employees trying to charge more money. In totality, it makes me regret my purchase. I have had a better shopping experiences at Warby Parker for half the price.

This place was fantastic! I recently went for an eye-exam and to get my first pair of glasses, while there i was helped by two women (Padmini and one who’s name I didn’t get) to pick out my frames. Both of them were very patient with my many questions and multiple pairs of glasses tried on. They helped greatly to get the perfect pair! Truly a great experience and I thank both of them very much for their kindness!!

Great experience from start to finish! The staff were super friendly and informative— Shanell and another young lady recommended some pretty cool frames and helped with adjusting them to fit comfortably and perfectly. The quality of the frames and lens are amazing. Will definitely coming back; thanks guys!
