I was overcharged on both my son’s and daughter’s most recent visit. I received the EOB, called Stanton, and they “agreed” that they overcharged on my son. They said I could come in and view what they have for my daughter. When asked if they would call the insurance with me there, because I obviously did my research, “that will be something for my manager to decide.” I’ll hold to talk to the manager. “I can’t let you do that.” So I’ll be driving over there to get back the SEVENTY FIVE dollars I was overcharged. If they overcharge every single client by $75, that’s a lot of money being pocketed. Receipts attached. I paid a total of $185, per EOBs, I should have paid 109.99. Update - I received a call back today. I was, in fact, correct. They are refunding the overcharged amount back to my original method of payment.

Poor customer service, mismanagement, waste of time. This company wasted my time twice. First time I was 5 min late to my eye exam because of BTS traffic, and was turned around, despite the store being completely empty with zero customers. It looked like the consultant was even mad that I showed up. I returned the next week for the free eye exam promotion, arriving 20 min early for my appointment. 80 min later I was still in the line for the exam. The store had one medical worker and many sales people, which looked like a mismanagement and poor staffing of the promotion day. I’d be glad to move on to the actual purchase step and get help of consultants, however, I can’t cancel all my plans to spend hours in the line. Both times I was ready to give this business my money and both times they failed to deliver proper service. Never going back again.
I have had many eye exams over the years and have never experienced this kind of problem until this visit. Because I have one eye, they basically refuse to see me. Scanton Optical claimed they tried to call me and left a voicemail. That is simply not true. I did not receive any phone call or voicemail from their office.
I had an excellent experience at Stanton Optical and couldn’t be happier with the care I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely focused on making the process easy and comfortable. My eye exam was thorough and never felt rushed. Everything was explained clearly, and I felt confident that they truly cared about my eye health, not just getting me in and out. The contact lens process was just as smooth. They took the time to make sure I had the right fit, answered all my questions, and made sure I was completely comfortable before I left. What really stood out was the level of customer service. Everyone I interacted with was patient, knowledgeable, and kind. It’s rare to find a place that combines efficiency with such a personal touch. If you’re looking for a place that delivers professional care, clear communication, and a genuinely positive experience, I highly recommend Stanton Optical. I’ll definitely be back.
LIED ABOUT PRICING. Came in yesterday because i scheduled an appointment over the phone 30minutes prior to my appointment time. i was told over the phone the price would be $79 and it was include the exam with two pairs of glasses. when i came in to my appointment 30 MINUTES LATER after scheduling, the woman told me the price would be $120. when i said “but when i called they said the price would be $79” she responded “they changed the price today” and i said “so in a 30min time span the price went from $79 to $120. because i scheduled this appointment 30 minutes ago” and she said “ya sorry they're changing alot of things today, but i can honor the price of $79 for you today.” i declined and walked out. not sure why these people are trying to scam every day working people. were going through a recession and this is how you treat potential customers? disgraceful. ill be taking my business to a local business here in El Paso. Check out Monocle here in el paso. No pushy sales there and no lying about prices, you can shop comfortably knowing that you aren’t being pushed or forced to buy with them. Unlike Stanton Optical. SUPPORT LOCAL ONLY.
