Optometrist Next To Target Optical

I had a great experience at Target optical in Folsom. I booked an appointment online. Every employee welcomed me and took me in right away.The exam was easy and painless and I had such a positive experience with Joanna. She helped me select the right glasses for me and also recommended a few add ons that would be helpful when I’m driving. She also was very thorough and very personable too. I would recommend coming here. Thanks for the positive experience! 😊

I am so happy with the help and advice I got. My glasses are beautiful, and the price was about 75% less than my optometrist would have charged. I highly recommend Target Optical and their knowledgeable and friendly staff.

EDIT: the glasses didn’t work out for me and I returned them. I would have bought some plain sunglasses I liked, but the manager was pushy about the return. He was sarcastic about my decision and kept asking if I wanted this or that. He was rude and unpleasant about the entire exchange. Sometimes things don’t work out. I wouldn’t come back after this. Joanna is a gem and the doctor is on top of it. Manager has a stick up his butt. This location has a solid facility and excellent staff. I haven’t had my eyes checked for probably 15 years or so. I was a bit nervous and feeling a little embarrassed I’d waited so long to update my prescription. Well, I was pleasantly surprised by all the tech involved now! They got whizzos and gizmos that measure all sorts of stuff I’d never seen, which ended up getting me a more accurate prescription than before! But that was just the start. I worked with Joanna on picking glasses and just had a great time! She’s super friendly, and works hard to make sure you’re maximizing the value of your insurance when you buy frames. I ended up springing for the Meta raybans, got some sick sunglasses at a crazy deal because of the insurance and a backup pair. Did I go overboard? Yes. Was this the best time I’ve had buying glasses? Also yes. Solid selection, great staff, and it’s in target so you can go spend even more money in their dollar section on the way out. You’ll even be able to read the signs as you leave. 😂

JoAnna is amazing! I’ve had a wonder experience both for my appointment with the doctor as well as when I picked up my lenses. JoAnna does the best job maximizing the insurance plan. I will absolutely return!
