Optometrist Next To Target Optical

Took my 3.5 year old daughter to get a pair of glasses and the women working there were very sweet and helpful. They gave my daughter a coloring book to keep her occupied and out of trouble while we took care of the business side of things. Grateful for their help!!

Terrible experience here. First, the shop is supposed to open at 9am according to Google and the sign on the door. The first time I went last month, staff rolls in around 10:15am (and according to other Target employees I asked, they usually don't get there until 10am). Second, I got a few weeks later to pick up the glasses I ordered. The lenses were way off -- completely blurry in half of my right side (more on that in a minute). They suspect the pupillary distance (PD) they measured is wrong. Instead of measuring again, they just say they'll reorder using the same PD as for the glasses I got 3 years ago they still have in the computer. I go again to pick up the newly remade pair (more weeks later) and the lenses are somewhat better, but still wrong. This time, I took them with me, and took them to a different Target Optical in Dallas. There, they looked at the glasses, very carefully looked at everything and remeasured my PD, and told me the height and horizontal PD were way off. They are now making them again. Oh, and at this one in Mesquite, they didn't even offer to have me sit down and try to adjust the glasses to my ears -- I had to ask for that. They just handed the glasses across the counter and wanted to send me on my way. Do not recommend. Go to a different Target Optical.

I recently visited the optical department at Target and had an outstanding experience thanks to Nikki. From the moment I walked in, she was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. She took the time to walk me through my options, answer all of my questions, and make sure I felt confident in my choice. Her professionalism was evident in everything she did — she was patient, attentive, and clearly passionate about providing great service. It’s not always easy to find someone who goes above and beyond, but Nikki truly did. I would highly recommend asking for her the next time you visit the Target optical department. I came in specifically to check out the Meta glasses because I have a YouTube channel and wanted to see if they’d be a good fit for content creation. Nikki was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely excited to walk me through all the features. She answered all my questions, let me really try them out, and made the whole experience feel relaxed instead of rushed or salesy. You can tell she truly cares about helping customers find what works best for them. If you’re thinking about Meta glasses or need great service, definitely ask for Nikki at the Mesquite location!
