Came in today to get my prescription read again 4 weeks after my first appointment where I was given the wrong perception. I've been dizzy since I paid 208 dollars for just lenses. Came in today they took my glasses in the back and when I received them back there was a giant scratch on the right lense on the inside that you can feel! Mind you these were brand new lenses that the retard at the counter scratched. My mother took them back in to complain about the scratch and the girl at the front tried to clean them and now there are tons of micro scratches all over my lenses. Completely ruined my glasses and my eyes. Don't go to this place!!!!

I have been coming to this place for over 4 years. When I first started coming here it was great. Dr. Garvin is very fast and great with my kids. I've never had to wait long to be seen. My recent experience hasn't been so great. The new staff he has working there is sooo unprofessional the girls there either have been eating at the desk every time I have came in or been on their cell phones. What's really upsetting is they do not greet you as you come in with smiles or a friendly "hello". It almost makes you feel uncomfortable. I really wish I knew the girl's name who worked there before he got new staff because she was so nice and always had great customer service. I really hope he can get some better receptionist in there because I think it's hurting his business. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because Dr. Garvin is a great doctor. Unfortunately I will not be back, only just to pick up my daughters glasses which have been paid for already.
What I liked about this place when I came here about 4 months ago was the Dr's service. He was very quick and on point when it came to the eye exam and also very polite. What I disliked and made it a bad experience for me and my fiance that I referred here today Is the rude Latina receptionist clerk. She handed my fiance a clipboard to fill out the initial start up paperwork and told her to have a seat. Than she walks over to my fiance and tells her that she has to move but in such a rude way. Automatically we felt uncomfortable. Than we asked her a few questions about what the insurance will cover and she goes on explaining as if she didn't want to have anything to do with us though. Then in a rude way she tells us so do you want to be seeing or do you want to leave basically telling us to leave as if she owned the place and could accept who she wants as a customer and who she doesn't want. So we just Automatically left and didnt proceed with our sheduled visit.I have never experienced a bad case of customer service like that in my whole entire life. It was a bad experience and I hope and pray that nobody ever has to experience what me and my fiance experienced today. This Optometry Dr is our neighborhood Vision Center thats why we chose this place. I guess it was a mistake thats the last time I will ever go there or refer someone. And to the dark haired Latina that was so rude I would just like to say just because your upset or not having a good day that doesn't give you a right to take it out on others and bring that bad attitude to the office, its supposed to be a place of business!
I've never had such a negative experience at an optometrist before. I went in for an eye exam and they didn't want to give me my pupillary distance, a critical part of my prescription after I had already paid. Heck, I would've paid extra just to support a local business, but they refused! I understand that you're afraid of me going online and ordering a pair of cheap reading glasses, but this kind of protectionism/anti-consumerist only hurts you. I was ready to come back and order a pair of raybans with Zeiss coatings, something I would prefer to order in store, but this horrible experience turned me off from ever wanting to do business here ever again. I've never felt so disrespected before. Avoid like the plague.
Dr, Garvin and his staff are very professional and friendly. Very easy to deal with. I would highly recommend this optometrist.
