My wife and I were not satisfied with our old optometrist, so we set up an appointment with Dr. Walters . It was a long wait to get an appointment at that time, but 100% worth the wait. Dr Walters is by FAR the best, kindest, most thorough optometrist you will ever find. Also, the ladies in the office are great! All very nice people. We are blessed to have found Dr Walters and his team!
edit: immediately after I posted this review, Becky told me I need to find a new eye doctor! so much for me needing to work with them :/ full refund still consumed my eye insurance benefits with no actual benefit to myself, I had to pay fully out of pocket for the contacts and then I get the glasses refunded is NOT an acceptable solution for a person that is -7.0 eyesight. This is an actual need I have, and wow what a disingenuous response from the office in reply to this review. Original review: sold me the worst glasses I've ever had. tried to work with Becky to no avail (she was not very nice about it). they really took advantage of me! I cannot recommend enough to never go here hint for Dr Walters: -7.0 prescription should get High Index lenses!! they took my full prescription bonus from eyecare because I had asked for replacement contact lenses. I don't think this is legal
I’ve been vision impaired my entire life, so I’ve been to a million places to get glasses and check my eyes out. This office and Dr Gary Walters stood out to me as people who truly care about making vision better for you, he took the time to make sure I had what I needed and it was all reasonably priced.
Had a fantastic experience with Dr. Walters as a first time patient. He is very personable and explains every nuance of your eye care as detailed or dumbed down as you’d like. A great local service provider for over 45 years. I highly recommend him. And the office staff is very friendly and accommodating as well. Thanks for the great care!
Remember when doctors spent time with you and explained things, and cared about how you were doing? Dr. Walters is that kind of optometrist! I took my 91 year-old mom to her appointment and sat in with her while Dr. Walter examined her and explained everything along the way in a patient, simple way that was easy to understand. It was like having your best friend doing your eye exam. He was professional and polite and spent a lot of time with us making sure that the exam was thorough and everything was addressed. My mom has been going to him for 30 years and I feel like he did the best job I have ever seen from an eye doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Walters!
