On Saturday the 25th, I brought my son in for his first eye exam. The exam itself went fine, but everything that happened afterward was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. When they called the day before to confirm the appointment, they specifically asked if he was interested in contacts. No one mentioned that they “don’t do contact lens trainings on Saturdays.” When we arrived, they asked again if he wanted contacts still no mention that training wouldn’t be available. After the exam, the doctor himself told us they would do a contact lens fitting and training. Then suddenly, at checkout, I was told they “didn’t have time.” I was shocked. After I pushed back, the staff member said she would do the training but only give him 15 minutes, and if he didn’t get it in that time, we’d have to come back. Thankfully, he had no issues at all and completed the training quickly. Next, when I went to pay, I was told there would be a 3% fee for using a credit card something that was never mentioned upfront. When you’re spending nearly $800, that’s something customers deserve to know ahead of time. Better communication and better training for the staff would go a long way. After paying with my debit card, being told his glasses would take 10 business days, and being told I had to come back for a follow‑up appointment, I was then informed they would not release his contact lens prescription until that follow‑up even though I had already paid for the contact lens fitting. I later learned that this is against Nebraska law. Nebraska statute 69‑310 clearly states that a provider may not refuse to release a prescription for contact lenses once the exam and fitting are complete. There is no legal requirement for a follow‑up appointment before releasing it. Because of this, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, which enforces the Consumer Protection in Eye Care Act. Customers deserve transparency, honesty, and compliance with the law none of which were shown here.

The Optometrist was great. I ordered two pairs glasses after my eye exam on Jan. 2, 2026. It is now Jan 29th and I do not have my glasses. I’ve been coming to this Pearle over five years and have never had to wait this long to receive glasses. Each year I get two new pairs of glasses and have always received them within 10 business days. This is my first experience with the new staff and I am not pleased.I have not received a follow up call on the status of my glasses. They never answer the phone, I called several times within an hour no one answered, so I went to the store to talk to someone about my glasses. I had to inquire twice about my glasses each time I inquired, a frame was in and will be sent out to get the lenses put in. My last inquiry was two weeks ago and I got the same response, my second frame was in and they were being sent to out get the lenses put in. I still do not have glasses. A follow up call would be nice. Once I receive my glasses, it will be my last visit to this location, I will find a new Pearle Vision location next year.

I dealt with Callie to purchase new glasses. She helped me choose a nice frame that we both felt complimented me and worked with my prescription. She was very friendly and easy to work with. I appreciated her help immensely and will be going back next year when I’m due for an exam.

Callie was so helpful and patient. Good group of people and great selection. Can't wait til my Ray Ban Meta glasses come in.

I have been coming to this Pearle location for more than a few years and I have seen several doctors in that span of time. Doctor Tharman was the best doctor thus far in terms of explaining things and making the whole process easy to follow. The women in the front office were very courteous as well. Latasha helped us with most of our visit which we booked online the night before. I was surprised to have to fill out "paperwork" via an iPad when we got there considering how long I have been coming to this location, but Latasha explained it was under new ownership. Regardless, we dropped over $800 on a couple sets of glasses which we are looking forward to picking up in a couple weeks!
