If the goal was to discourage me from ever returning, then mission accomplished. This was the WORST experience of any appointment I have ever had in my life. My appointment was at 10:30. I was not seen until after 12. My insurance was not verified before I arrived even though I called two days prior and asked what the estimated cost would be. Then the front desk staff rushed the verification and suggested I did not have coverage and that I would need to pay out of pocket which was $125. When I told her that was incorrect, she told me I needed to call my insurance to figure it out. I’m confused why this was not done prior to my arrival and if there were questions regarding coverage why she, the staff responsible for this, would not call to verify. Placing the responsibility after having me wait nearly 2 hours for what ended up being a 10 minute appointment is not only ridiculous but highly unprofessional. At no point during my wait was I acknowledged or given an update. When I asked how much longer before I would be seen, I was told “I was next”. Well, of course I was next! I was the only person waiting in the lobby. Neither the physician or the front desk offered an explanation or an apology for my wait or for their unprofessionalism. I never complete these surveys or leave reviews but this visit warrants it. No one should ever have to experience service, or the lack thereof, like this. It always amazes me how much pride service providers have when they make mistakes and their lack of accountability. However, patrons are expected to be early to appointments and pay in full regardless of the quality of service. This is obviously reasonable. Honoring a 10:30 AM appointment, verifying insurance, informing patrons if there is a delay, keeping them updated and taking responsibility when general standards have not been met are also reasonable expectations. I will take responsibility and acknowledge I should have never waited that long for service. I should have left the minute I realized my time nor my business was respected or apparently, wanted. I have come here for years and have dealt with the constant staff changes. This was the absolute worst. I will be encouraging my family who have also come here for years to find another service provider. How unfortunate considering I really like the new physician and appreciated her standard of care during my last appointment. Very disappointing.

Dr. Cherian diagnosed me with a condition called keratoconus and I was advised the only treatment option was scleral lenses. These lenses cost 2k and are not covered by insurance. I paid the 2k for the lenses and moved forward with the sessions with her teaching me how to put the contacts in and remove them. These particular lenses are large and hard and very difficult to insert especially for someone who has never worn contacts. I had 2 practice sessions and on the 3rd session I was given the lenses and pretty much told ro figure it out and practice on my own. I felt like the sessions were rushed and she seemed annoyed as she had other people waiting so I never really got my full time to practice the lenses. I spoke with a friend who is an optometrist and they were shocked she gave me the lenses with no assurance that I could insert and remove them on my own. I understand she is busy but I'm a paying customer and deserved better. I dont recommend this doctor if you have eye conditions that require more care. She is good for eye exams only she gets annoyed if you dont pick up things on her pace. Very disappointing as I spent ALOT of money on these lenses and feel like I was robbed because I cant insert them.
Very Professional Courteous customer service is provided by the front desk reception staff. Very well kept, quiet waiting area and office environment ; Comprehensive vision screenings offered. Dr Cheri was receptive to voiced concerns, questions and provided thorough explanations about screening results and follow up. Very good experience.
Doctor was very thorough and explained what was going on with my eyes. Turned out my vision has stayed same. I was suffering from dry eyes. She could tell I wanted more help so she offered to bump up my reading prescription to next level. I really appreciated her honesty and her willingness to help. Then I met a Raven who was patient and super helpful with selecting eyewear. I walked out feeling really good about the overall visit. I told Raven i would only pick up my glasses when she’s working and I meant it!
I was a new patient at this office today and I was given a same day appointment. Dr. Cherian was very friendly and super thorough. She was patient and listened to my concerns. She was very professional and made sure we covered everything before I left.
