On the positive side, Dr. Patel was friendly, professional, and very thorough. I never felt rushed during the exam, and I appreciated the time and care taken to answer my questions. Unfortunately, the rest of the visit was frustrating. My 4:00 PM appointment didn’t result in seeing the doctor until after 5:00 PM, even though all of my pre-testing had been completed well beforehand. While delays can happen, there was very little communication about why the office was running behind. The office staff appeared overwhelmed, disorganized, and stretched too thin. The entire appointment flow felt unnecessarily cumbersome. Staff members seemed to juggle multiple tasks at once instead of completing one interaction before moving to the next. For example, while helping me, they repeatedly answered phones, interrupted the transaction to ask coworkers how to process a basic CareCredit payment, and then resumed helping me. It created a chaotic experience. After finally receiving my prescription, I went to order contact lenses only to be told I had to return to the doctor because the prescription needed to be updated. That issue should have been identified and resolved before I left the exam room. The office would benefit from improving its workflow, staff training, and communication. Dr. Patel provided excellent care, but the administrative side of the practice needs significant improvement to create a smoother, more efficient patient experience.
Dr. Patel is a very great Doctor. If there is any concerns, He definitely going to look into it. I appreciate his concerns and getting the feedback as well as the job done in a professional manner.
I went to Dr. Patel for the first time today and i’ll definitely be back for my annual checkup along with any other issues or frame changes that come up before then. My appointment was longer than expected but I haven’t been to an eye dr in about 6 years so I didn’t really know what to expect. The longest part was me trying to find a pair of frames I liked because I am very particular about shape, size, and color (as well as price) This place really only offers name brand glasses but the prices are not terrible. Unfortunately my insurance doesn’t cover my prescription but somehow, the name brand glasses were still cheaper than all the others i’ve gotten growing up when I had insurance that would cover my prescription and I definitely wasn’t getting Coach glasses as a kid lol. I’ll definitely be back to see Dr. Patel and his amazing team!
Tried to make an appointment for my kids, went through the whole online registration process that gives you the option to decline a retinal scan and dilation…get to the office and the receptionist tells me it’s mandatory for minors to have a retinal scan which won’t be covered by insurance at $30 each as well as mandatory eye dilation to establish a baseline to track future issues. However then stated that in the future you can decline any further scans or dilations. Sooooo how does it make sense to force people to pay for something that isn’t mandatory after the first time? You can’t track something if you never scan or do it again…just a scam to take people’s money when it comes to kids honestly. Everywhere else I called after that said nothing like that is mandatory. Def won’t be going back here.
