Appointment was at 11:30 AM and still sitting here after 2 PM. Still waiting for the doctor would not recommend anyone to come here unless you wanna waste your whole dat! Whoever manages the schedule or scheduling needs to be fired! Second visit the place is still slow. If you want to waste your whole day, make an appointment. People complaining in the waiting room about the wait as well. This practice is literally a joke. I would give it -5 stars if I could. Good luck!

During my annual eye exam, my doctor suspected glaucoma but couldn't accept my health insurance for baseline testing. I contacted Perez Eye Center to confirm acceptance of my health insurance with estimated costs. The quoted prices: new patient exam $160, HVF 24-2 $125, ONH OCT $100, Pachymetry $40, and Gonioscopy $60. I had the HVF test and consultation with Doctor Perez on March 3. The consultation lasted less than 15 minutes and he showed me a 5–10-minute video. He told me I do not have glaucoma. I reminded him that I only visited to establish a baseline. The office billed $300 for the consultation and $75 for the HVF. I scheduled ONH OCT and Pachymetry for March 26. I waited 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time and received minimal communication from the technician, who completed the tests quickly. The staff then required another consultation and would not perform the gonioscopy, incorrectly stating it was surgery. When I asked to speak with the doctor to clarify, I was told to schedule another appointment. My inquiry about the delay was met without apology and without empathy. I consulted with my original doctor who confirmed that gonioscopy is indeed a test.
I just called your office to ask a simple question about whether Dr. Perez accepts a specific insurance plan. The person who answered the phone hung up on me—twice. I am a case manager calling on behalf of a person with a disability, and this experience was extremely disappointing. If this is how your office treats someone trying to obtain basic information, I can't imagine how patients are treated. Professionalism, courtesy, and respect should be the standard for everyone who calls your office. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so other patients and caregivers do not have the same experience.
My experience here was wonderful! The doctor was very friendly and so was the young lady who did my eye exam/eye strips. She was talking to me about her home country and what a nice conversation we had. I'm terrible with names or I would mention her. I love this office and the staff! Thank you, Debra
Dr. Don Perez is absolutely the best! Saving me from losing my eyesight! And, his staff are amazing in every way as well. It’s a privilege to be taken care of by this team at Perez Eye Center Edwina W
