Really trying to understand this. I had a annual eye exam including fitting for contacts, macular screen and photo of the inside of my eye (instead of the standard blinding light) at Performance Eyecare in town. They insisted on my medical insurance card even though I don't have vision insurance. I paid the $123 charge after the visit. Then they held my contact prescription hostage for a week. Then they send me another bill for an additional $176. I emailed them and asked what the $107 charge was for (I knew the rest was the fancy pic) no answer. Today I see they charged my medical insurance $345. Since when does it cost $468 for an annual eye exam??? Not including contacts or glasses? Had my deductible been satisfied they would have been paid this huge price. This was just a Optometrist. Anybody know a place to complain about this? Update: the insurance company found out they billed me for a "cataracts education". No special service just the doc saying I don't have cataracts. I don't recommend this place.

I recently retired and moved back to the Midwest within tge last year. I was overdue for my eye exam and needed new glasses. I chose Performance Eyecare due to the Google reviews and distance to my home. I arrived and was promptly greeted and assisted for my appointment. The staff and doctor are friendly and welcoming. I'm very happy with my choice and look forward to returning in a few weeks to pickup my new glasses and sunglasses. I highly recommend them for eyecare needs.
Great first experience. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Professional service and care for the patients. Dr. Peyton is very detailed, informative and kind. I appreciated his patience with senior patient and child. We felt welcomed and treated respectfully. Alicia was very patient and helpful when we made our eyewear choices. Would highly recommend to anyone.
If you are looking for a great eye care Doctor ,this is the place. The whole entire team was a pleasure to work with. I received my glasses today and I am very happy with them.
I felt very seen here😉. Seriously they were all very kind and patient. Efficient too. I was in and out for an exam and new patient questionnaire. Even found frames I like for later.
