I have been coming to this office for a few years now. Also had cataract surgery done down in New Port Richey. I have to say how pleasant everyone in the front office is as well as the technicians. Dr. Miller is so knowledgeable. He explains every aspect of my eye conditions. I know things now I never knew about the eye. Wait time is never bad. Techs do the pretesting and you then wait to see Dr. Miller. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Miller.

I am writing this to warn anyone with a real medical emergency to STAY AWAY from Perich Eye Center. I left the hospital at 1:30 AM on Wednesday the 13th with an emergency referral for a suspected retinal tear. The orders were clear: I had to be seen within 24 hours or risk permanent blindness. I showed up at Perich at 11:30 AM that same morning (Wednesday the 13th). The young blonde girl at the front desk was a total nightmare—nasty, condescending, and completely disrespectful. Despite me describing black webs and white lightning streaks in my vision, she treated me like an inconvenience and brushed off the hospital’s 24-hour urgency, sticking me with an appointment for the next day instead of getting me back to a doctor. I’m a guy with a great personality—I like to crack jokes and keep things light—but there’s nothing funny about playing games with my sight. I came back the next day to try and give them a chance to fix this, but the same blonde girl was there with the same trash attitude. When I told her she was being mean and two faced because she is , she didn’t even have the guts to address it—she just turned her back and walked off. Then, another staff member actually said, “Just ignore him.” That was the last straw. I’ve been here many times for my girlfriend’s cataract surgeries and watched this same girl be sweet as pie to us and I'm talking exceptionally nice with a great beautiful personality , but she did a total 180 and treated me with pure malice during a vision-threatening crisis. I walked out. I am taking my business to a place that actually understands what an "emergency" is. I will be contacting the hospital to let them know Perich disregards their emergency referrals. My eyesight is more important than her nasty little personality and their toxic, "ignore the patient" attitude.

Look at the photo. Got here at 9am it's now 11:15 still waiting. The receptionist said there where a couple of doctors offices but someone asked who is here for perich, everyone said perich. There wasn't even anyone at the other doctors window.

I called this optical office to schedule an appointment and spoke with Melissa. I was informed that the earliest available appointment was in four months. When I expressed that this was a very long wait, her response was simply “okay,” and she hung up the phone. Regardless of appointment availability, this is not an appropriate way to treat potential or existing customers. A more professional and courteous response should always be expected, even when scheduling constraints exist. Very disappointing experience.
