My fiancé took an antique pair of frames here to have his prescription put in them, and it was a quick and easy process. There is a fee for using your own frames, but I imagine that’s the case at most opticians. They even adjusted two pairs of glasses for me for free that I didn’t get at their shop! Pleasant service and fun decor. Update: Went to look at frames at 10:20a on Monday. Their hours here and on the door say they open at 10a, but the shop was locked up with the lights off. I guess call before you make a trip in.

I had my prescription filled for both glasses and contact lenses at PVD Optical, and I must say, the quality of their work is absolutely exceptional! Having frequented various practices across Rhode Island and Massachusetts, I can confidently say that I've never experienced such precision and excellence in crafting my prescription. Thanks to the wonderful and helpful staff, I've purchased my glasses here pretty much exclusively over the past decade plus. Sure, some of the frames offered are on the pricier side, though if we're talking about something I put on my face literally all day every day, I am cool with that. Definitely recommended. :)

The frames on offer range from the standard fare to cool, modern, fashionable, internationally-sourced designs that you aren't likely to find elsewhere. The optometry services here are great too. Folks who seek higher performance eyewear will find a variety of high-tech lenses and coatings offered that can seriously improve your vision. Worth a drive if you don't live in the area. Good Covid-safe practices in place here as well.
