PS Optometry

I came for my routine eye exam. The staff was friendly and very timely. The exam was comprehensive, and any changes were explained to me, including how significant they were. They carried an excellent assortment of eyeglasses. I was pleased with my experience.

3/5 for the actual doctor. 0/5 for everything else about my experience here and I have been a patient for years. The front desk girl on the right who helps with the insurance - should be fired. Rude on the phone. Rude in person. Does not want to do her job and look up your insurance. Lied to me and told me I had no eye insurance. Just to be told by her later that I did have eye insurance. Lied about my actual prescription being wrong and made an excuse instead of trying to uncover the discrepancy. Complained that she had to call the insurance company (that is her job). Also, I have been asking for my eye prescription for years and they will never send it, so they can force you to buy through them. There is a lot of good optometrists in Los Al, Seal Beach, Long Beach - I would recommend going somewhere else.

They have terrible hours. I've been waiting for weeks to get my prescription glasses, but like most of us I work a 9 to 5. They do not operate on weekends...extremely inconvenient.

This is an excellent office. Everyone there is nice and accommodating. Dr. Hoffman is amazing. He educated me about all sorts of things I didn’t know. His staff is amazing
