Great experience from the time I walked in. Receptionist was friendly, the med tech was friendly and professional and my eye exam was thorough. The doctor explained things to me. What more could you ask for.

Receptionists were cordial and attentive. Their greetings were welcoming. Clean and organized office, where the Doctor is helpful. My first time meeting the doctor, so will evaluate care as I now have a diagnosis. The gentleman responsible for glasses was quite helpful too. So a good first experience and would recommend this office to others.
I’ve been coming here for a few years now, but after today I’m not coming back. Front desk staff were unfriendly and the doctor wasn’t even in the office - after they asked to reschedule me to today because they had said he wouldn’t be in office next week on my originally scheduled appointment date. I spent 15 minutes in an Oculus headset doing tests that were poorly explained, before being walked to the door to leave without being able to ask any follow up questions.
Dr. John Pugliese is just great. I have trusted him with the care of my most precious eyes for many years. I want to note that he is an excellent, empathic listener and encourager. It is sad for his patients that he is retiring but I know we all wish him a well-deserved, long, healthy and fun retirement. And, we are heartened by the fact that he leaves us his legacy; an equally excellent, I’m sure, eye doctor, his son David! Thank you, Dr. John and God bless you.
On February 12th 2026 was my first visit to Pugliese Family Eye Care. The experience that day was wonderful. The staff was very friendly, kind and courteous. Dr. Pugliese (son) did my eye exam that entailed me reading a single line. That was it. The exam was concluded. On the new patient information form I let them know I had not had in exam in approximately five years and I had been diagnosed with dry eye macular degeneration. At the end of the exam I questioned Dr. Pugliese about the dry eye macular degeneration and he had no knowledge about it. I told him, yes, I have been diagnosed and I put this information in my new patient information form. He gave me no information regarding the condition other than telling me to take a supplement. Time to pick out frames. I chose two frames with help of the staff. I was told it would be around two weeks before the glasses would be ready. Within a week I received an automated call saying my glasses are ready. I went that day to pick them up at which time I was told they are not ready, and to ignore any further automated calls because their computer calls those who have an unpaid balance. I paid half of the total cost and was to pay the balance when the glasses we done. Nearly two more weeks went, I had to call and inquire are my glasses done. Yes, one pair was done. I went to pick them up, try them on and I could not see far or read in them. I told Randy something is wrong. So Dr. Pugliese gave me another exam which was different from the first and my prescription was also different as well as the axis. I was disappointed but said mistakes happen. I waited patiently to hear anything from the office, I never did. I had call again, I was told yes one is pair ready. Well, they were ready but again, not done correctly. There were markings (two circles and letters numbers on the right lense) which I could see looking through the lense. I told them I"ve been wearing glasses for 40 years and I've never seen markings on my lenses. It's very annoying I can't wear these. When all was said and done. Eight weeks went by. I had one pair of glasses that were not done right and no idea where or what happened to the second pair. I decided I was returning the glasses I had with the messed up lenses and requested a full refund. Randy and the gentlemen that helped me chose my frames had nothing at all to say. No apologies, no what can we do to fix this? Nothing, I was told "Ok, I understand". They went from over the top friendly, kind and courteous to ok, whatever. I told Randy I have to be honest with you Randy I'm really hurt and disappointed that no one was willing to help, explain to me, give me some kind of answers. Instead you simply told me "I dont need your card to refund you". I was standing there with my debit card in my hand. I never gave them permission to keep my card on file. This was my experience. I chose this office because of their reviews. I'm not sure what happened with my initial visit and the mistakes that were made and the issues with getting my glasses done correctly. Now I have to search for another eye Dr., wait for the appointment, have another exam which I will have to pay out of pocket due to me questioning and doubting what transpired at this office.
