My father was referred.to this external clinic from Leon Medical for a retinal tear. After laser procedure was completed office didn't provide any post-op instructions when he was discharged from the clinic. When calling the office 1 hour after the procedure was done the office staff couldn't get a hold of an MA or nurse to speak to obtain recovery instructions they stated someone would return the call. No one returned the call. Followed up again with the office at 4pm and was attended by very unprofessional and inefficient front desk staff who had no empathy whatsoever in providing assistance. It's been 3 weeks and no one has ever returned the call. My father used to be a patient of Bascom Palmer Eye Institute where this type of disgraceful medical service would have never occurred. Finally received a call back a day before post-op appointment by Regla the office manager who was as unprofessional and inept as her staff. This place must have family or friends submit reviews for them, because they are not a 4 star facility at all.

The first impression wasn't very good, one technician didn't disinfect the device where one has to rest the forehead and chin because she didn't have alcohol available right at that moment. She looked at me and said 'don't worry, it was cleaned before, I promise'. 👎 Dr. Lara was cool, I was treated with respect and consideration and got my procedure done.

This practice is exceptional. From the moment you enter the door you are greeted with professionalism and care. The staff and technicians are knowledgeable, professional and most importantly, kind and compassionate. Dr. Lara is an exceptional physician. He takes incredible care during each visit ( I have been a patient for many years) to make sure I have the most accurate and beneficial treatment. I feel I am in the best hands!

Dr. Wilfredo Lara’s office was an absolute nightmare. I brought my 96-year-old grandmother, who is on oxygen, for her appointment at 1:45 PM. We were left waiting until 4:30 PM — almost three hours — and in all that time, nothing meaningful was done for her. I even had to remind the staff that she was on oxygen and could run out of supply, yet there was still no urgency, no empathy, and no respect. This is beyond unprofessional — it is dangerous. No elderly patient should ever be treated this way. My grandmother left exhausted and stressed, and we left with nothing but wasted time and disappointment. Families deserve care, compassion, and dignity for their loved ones. You will not find that here. Do not bring your loved ones to this office.

I am very pleased with the service that Dr. Lara has provided my mother Olivia Salazar. Their staff is also very nice. Dayelin is a very nice and very attentive person. She goes out of her way to try to please my 92 year old mother. Their other staff are very pleasant as well.
