This is the worst Ophthalmology clinic that I have ever been to. I have gotten a new pair of glasses for 35 years on average every year and half. Went to the Reed City office and the doctor was/is great. She had to refer me to the Cadillac office for some left over problems from cataract surgery in previous years. Again the doctor was wonderful. So, I went ahead and ordered my new glasses. Going onto six weeks and still no glasses. They don’t ever answer the phone. If you wait on hold it hangs up after 15 minutes (which is to long to be on hold). There is no local number to talk to our local office. You are forced to call the Cadillac office and they will transfer you to Reed City but of course they don’t answer their phone to transfer you. Total waste of your time and money. Don’t go here!! I would cancel my order and go somewhere else except they force you to pay up front. (Never have I ever been forced to pay more than 50% before the glasses come in. Please reconsider and go to a reputable Ophthalmology clinic not Riemer Eye Center.

My last two visits have been terrible. Last year they sold me frames that broke four times. I made seven visits total. That’s not a exaggeration. That included my original exam, but then getting the frames replaced over and over again. They even tried to charge me $25 to get the frames replaced because they were out of the one year window. As I’m writing this, I’m still wearing those frame super glued together. This year I went back to get a new prescription and frames. I paid in full, but when I contacted them to pick up the glasses, they had no record of the order. The person who took the payment, never notified the workers to order the glasses. So now I have to find another source for glasses. The manager there was hardly concerned at all and offered no apology. I got a refund, but learned that they charge extra for the exam that’s not covered by insurance.

Staff people are friendly. The office visit was fast and efficient. They told me my glasses would be ready in 2 to 3 weeks and they'd text me when ready. I waited over a month with no text so I went in. They gave my glasses to someone else and said I could get another pair in 2 weeks. I waited another 3 weeks to a month with no text. I did get my glasses finally but without a case or complementary glasses cleaner and cloth. Went from a good experience to a load of crap.

Been seeing eye doctors and clinics for 35 years and this was the worst experience I've ever had. They asked me several times why I was there 😂😂😂. Before my appointment after my exam while I was waiting for my partner and after I came out of exam they greeted me like I had just arrived. The most absent minded folks I've encountered at any type of doctor office in my entire life. They had my partners insurance all wrong and completely quoted her there wrong prices with our insurance so she left before I even met her in the waiting room as she had a appointment prior to mine. She left annoyed and I did the same because they couldn't get their computers to cooperate and I was patient 5xs over and I am not a patient person. I ended up asking for my script and ordering my own contacts and my girlfriend already made a complaint and still hasn't heard back since and it's been two weeks. Been a month or so since our appointments and she still doesn't have new glasses or a order for any. The Reed City office is only open a couple days a week and they pack patients in and ship them out with little obligation to let you leave satisfied or with optical devices. They were a 1.2 out of 5 and I'm being nice. It was my day off work and it ruined it completely I never been so frustrated over something that shouldn't be and I will never return nor will my woman. Aweful aweful aweful service!

Only get one star because I couldn't give them zero. They prescribed the wrong lens and told me to go home with them even after I told them I could not read the exit sign in the lobby. Had to go to Walmart eye care to get the correct prescription. They eventually got me some new lenses after I brought the walmart script to them. They would not answer phone calls or return messages. Multiple attempts to talk with a manager about it with zero response. Also would not assist with the walmart bill that was needed to get a proper prescription. Horrible Horrible service!!!! Hope the manager sees this and decides to get ahold of me. They should know the customer. Im in my 40s but they had my birthday in at 1948 lol. What a joke
