I went to Robertson Optometry for eye exam and glasses. The eye exam was quick and I was on my way within 1 hour including picking out a pair of glasses. The time to make the lenses was about two weeks and I was able to pick them up, try them on a split in about 10 minutes. The Optometrist on duty is really friendly and explained my prescription letting me know my eyesight wasn’t as bad as I’d thought. I enjoyed my experience here so much that I ended up with 2 pair of glasses and even let them examine my son. They’re a great place to get an exam and glasses if you like quick, friendly and thorough service. If not, then not :).
I had a great experience at Robertson Optometry. Dr. Yang provided and excellent exam and explained all aspects of my test results in a clear and helpful manner. The rest of the staff were friendly, helpful and I highly recommend Robertson Optometry.
Scary, bizarre and disheartening experience. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. Unfortunately, Dr. Yang delivered the single worst patient experience of my life. From the moment she walked in, her attitude was hostile and unwelcoming. When I asked a basic question about my prescription, specifically the difference between the farsighted number and the astigmatism number, she appeared angry and uncomfortable, and could not give me a clear explanation. During the contact lens exam, she told me to put on a pair of contacts. I asked her to walk me through the process for how the exam works and how we'd know these were or were not the right ones. Her response was stunning: she told me she gives everyone the same level of information and that I was "the only person" who "ever asks questions like this". That is not a patient-centered practice, but a scary red flag. When I gently pointed out that her tone had become condescending, she doubled down rather than course-corrected, saying she had to "adjust her behavior to my needs". For the first time in my life, I asked to end a medical appointment early, sharing that I felt uncomfortable. On my way out, she instructed me to leave the contacts that were physically in my eyes. I should have believed the reviews that mention similarly rushed and distasteful experiences. Dr. Yang should absolutely not be in a patient-facing role - though I do genuinely hope she finds some peace.
Not the best sloppy on paperwork and follow up. Eye techs are terrible and my polarized lenses were badly damaged from not being properly protecting. Dr yang has a major chip on her shoulder. I see a trend where legacy companies sell out. The new owner forgot we used to see Dr.Kummer before they were ever licensed in California. Lol
