I accompanied my friend to her 11am appointment today so her doctor could explain her upcoming cataract surgery. She signed in at 10:45. After an hour, we checked "How much longer?" We were told "they're running behind today, but there're only three people ahead of you." My friend also learned that "lunchtime was at 12:45." Did that mean there'd be no one to help us? At 12:30, there wasn't any better news. I spoke to a couple who were sitting next to us for an appointment also. They'd been there an hour longer than we, so they were having a 2 1/2 hour wait contrasted to our 1 1/2 hour wait (so far!) We were getting very tired and so opted to leave. The front desk person said that our $20 co-pay could be re-applied to our next app't, but if there weren't another app't, there'd be no refund of it. I'm thinking: But we're not breaking an app't...Magruder's is not keeping the app't it made with us! My friend's health insurance company (CarePlus) said for eye surgeries, that Magruder's was our only resource (I'm calling CP to confirm that and will update that info here should we learn otherwise. The place was packed with waiting patients. After an hour and a half, it occurred to me it felt like a Third World experience, except we weren't sitting outside on over-turned cans. Our time and everyone there were being thoroughly disrespected.

They took care of me quickly and everybody was friendly and caring. The place is nice and very clean. I felt comfortable and calm. I was a little worried because of my eyes exams but they explained me in detail every step and made me felt I was receiving there what I really needed. Dr Lehr is awesome! I will definitively keep going there to take care of my eyes condition!

The doctors are great! the waiting it is poor, waited about 2 hours. They didn't have the authorization for my insurance, they usually do this when you schedule your appointment, they forgot to pull my authorization, they did it while I waited there, which took another hour or so before they would even see me. Had I not ask to speak with a manager I probably would have been there all day, they forgot I was there. When they finally called me back to see the technician, after he finished, he sent me to another technician, the second technician told me to have a seat in the waiting room again. He didn't tell me why, After waiting for 15 minutes I had to go to the front desk for a second time to ask for a manager and ask why am I sitting here, am I waiting to see somebody else? or am I free to go? They told me I was waiting to see the doctor,Their lack of communication skills are very poor. When I finally got back to see the doctor he was very intelligent, informative and professional. I really love this doctor he's excellent. But I definitely will not be returning to magruders as the right hand does not seem to know what the left hand is doing, Mass confusion, and and it was as though nobody even knew each other.I thought it was very unprofessional. I don't think anybody knows what is going on there, ever since the new owner bought out the original Magruder's Eye Care about 5 years ago, things have gone down the toilet very quickly. Man gets worse every year, it is a shame as they were always very prompt and intelligent.I will not be returning , nor will I recommend any of my friends to go to that circus 🎪. It is so sad as now I have to find another eye doctor.

Recently went for a 10:30 a.m. apt and waited 2 hours to be checked in. At that point I was told it would be 3.5 MORE hours before my apt. When I looked shocked, the receptionist suggested I reschedule, so I booked a 7:45 a.m. a few weeks later, which only took 2 hours total. Compared to 6 hours, I suppose that was speedy. I can't understand how this place is functioning. The doctor was great, and if you're referred here or must come here, I highly suggest a first thing in the morning appointment.

My 93 year old mom goes there and every single time they run late. Today we got in at 2:35 for a 2:45 appointment. She gave her name at the check in desk. We were not officially checked in until 3:30 PM which surprised me. The lady said that they were running at least an hour behind. I asked to be cognizant of my mom's age and of the patients time. If you get here 15 minutes late they cancel your appointment and also want to charge you. However they can be hours late since evidently they overbook their patients. There is no consideration for the patients. I asked for a manager and they put me on the phone with her and she said that their overbooking with scheduling is above her grade and the company policy. They offered to reschedule my mom to which I explained that I came from WA state to meet her for the appointment. So rescheduling to wait the same or more another day makes no sense. We have a referral to this place from my mom's insurance otherwise I would never come back. Beware that your time is not valued here and appointment times are meaningless. However if you were to be late they will cancel. Terrible culture driven place.
