I purchased Meta smart glasses from Sam’s Optical in Brownsville on October 10th. A few days later, I ordered prescription lenses for them. Unfortunately, within about a week of purchase, the glasses stopped working completely - they wouldn’t charge, connect, or reboot. While that wasn’t Sam’s fault, there didn’t seem to be a clear plan in place for replacements, and Ray-Ban’s only suggestion was to return them. Since my prescription lenses were already being processed, I decided to wait and see if the issue could be resolved through Sam’s. To their credit, they were trying to figure out how to handle a replacement within their network. Right before the lenses arrived, the frames suddenly started working again (though very slowly and glitchy). Then came the biggest disappointment - when the prescription lenses were installed, the frame cracked. The salesperson treated it as if it wasn’t a big deal, even though these glasses are far from cheap. On top of that, the prescription itself didn’t feel right - I understand there’s an adjustment period, but I experienced significant discomfort and headaches. They eventually got another pair shipped in from a different Sam’s location, only to find out it was the wrong size. In the end, I had to return both the glasses and the prescription lenses. I do want to mention that despite all the issues, the salesperson remained positive and professional throughout the process, which I truly appreciated.

I'm giving them minus 5 stars. I took my frames in to have lenses fitted, and it took a month. That's because I called them this past Saturday, and they told me they couldn't do it because the frames were too big. I asked if I could get a refund, and they said yes. So I went to pick it up, and surprise, it was a gift card or something. But with this, I can't buy my lenses at another optician because it was Saturday, and the managers had already left until Monday. Well, today, Monday, I spoke with a manager named Omar, and he told me he'd spoken with the manager, and nothing could be done. I went to customer service, and they told me that this Omar guy is the boss and had already spoken with me. Basically, everyone's passing the buck. Oh well, I have to scrape together the money for my lenses again because they only gave me my money back on the condition that I spend it with them. It feels so incredibly frustrating.
