Was told I had astigmatism in both eyes during a routine contact eye exam which is a first out of like 20 or so eye exams and not something that can just happen so I knew that was odd. Come to find out the exam for people with "astigmatism" is like $30 more. Was given a pair of astigmatism trial contacts and they were absolutely horrible and blurry. I highly doubt I have astigmatism and feel like I was definitely cheated or the doctor was just extremely incompetent, which is just as likely as he kept having to correct the same prescription information over and over at end of exam an unusually high amount of times. Also my new prescription had my right eye at a much different prescription than my left which is another first and incorrect I believe. Of cours when I call to complain there's no answer because they simply don't pick up 80% of the time at this place.

We've worked with Jason in Kentwood Sams Optical for 3 years now for my 7 and 5 year old kids. We first came when my daughter was 4. Jason is so gentle and friendly as well as precise and knowledgeable. He takes care of us when we get a kickball to the frames or when my daughter thinks her new glasses make the floor look bumpy. Call ahead and schedule with him you will never go back especially with Sam's pricing and warrenty on top of that.
The optometrist gave me the wrong contacts prescription after doing a sub par eye exam. Since my eye insurance only pays for one exam I have to pay out of pocket to get an eye exam and get the correct prescription somewhere else. Sams club has great prices on contacts and glasses I'd just recommend getting your eye exam somewhere else and bring your prescription here.
Sam's club makes 8 billion dollars a year and they can't hire somebody to answer the phone at the optical center or the Tire area. I will go somewhere else and pay more for service. How they can't figure this out is beyond me.
I have gotten glasses from a few of the big name places and have never had as good of an experience as I had here! Nicest group of people to deal with and very knowledgeable. Will be having my whole family go there from now on. Thank you so much for all your help!
