I was fed up with how Sam's Club Optical has increased their prices and shortened their warranty so I decided to order new lenses online. First Sams Club optical is not affiliated with Sams Club. They just rent space inside. Secondly they refused to give me a copy of my eyeglasses prescription until I threatened them with a negative review. Then after sending my frames out to be done I find out that Sam's Club Optical conveniently omitted my eye spacing from the prescription. Now I have to go another eyeglass place to get the measurements. Finally, they were always rude and would ignore you when you arrived until they were done with the previous customer. RUN ... DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THESE CREEPS!

On Friday, January 6, 2023, I ordered lenses and frames at the Sam's Club Optical in Freehold. They had a good selection of frames and the price was about half what it would cost at LensCrafters. They told me ten days for delivery. On Thursday, January 18, I received a phone call saying the glasses came in but they did not past quality control, that the axis on the left lens was not cut properly. It would be ten days until the new glasses came in. While I was disappointed in the delay I appreciated the fact they checked the lenses first. Ten days (two calendar weeks) later, on February 3, I was in the store and checked on the glasses, since I had not heard from them. The optician said that one of the lenses had come back with no anti-reflective coating, and he had put in for a new lens on January 31. This would put delivery on or about February 14, almost six weeks after the original order. I was never informed about the second error. I found out on my own after asking. I cancelled the order. I spoke with a manager and said that, while I was patient with the first error, after the second error I had lost confidence in the lab. I was suffering eyestrain, which is why I ordered new glasses in the first place. I consider eyeglasses to be medical devices, and the Sam's Club optical lab made not one but two errors. I felt I could not trust them. So, while I would have saved a lot of money, after four weeks ( potentially six) and two errors in manufacturer, I felt I had to move on. I cannot recommend Sam's Club Optical.
Worst eye shop ever. Workers there don’t acknowledge you standing there waiting. 2 workers both staring at the same computer. Don’t say a word to you. I stood there for 10 minutes and they didn’t even look at me. Unbelievable. Worst customer service ever. Don’t waste your time with them.
