Schoonover Eyecare

Dr. Schoonover saw me in an emergency situation. She reacted quickly and with sincere compassion. I had a severe cornial abrasion and she took care of it the same day going in to a holiday weekend. The procedure she did left me with full vision and no scarring. I am beyond happy with the her and her team.

I love Scoonovers eye care the doctor and staff are very friendly and professional. My self and my daughters see Doctor Rebecca. We received the best eye exam ever. The office is very modern and comfortable. They have a wonderful selection of eyewear. They helped my daughter who has special needs fitted with a pair of glasses that have helped her see clearly and much better. I like the way they do a follow up to see if there is anything else they could do. I have recommended them to all my friends and family.

I had a great experience at this office. The staff was very friendly, the doctor was kind, informative, and efficient, and the entire office was clean and well organized. When I first received my glasses, there was a small lens defect, but they corrected it right away with no issues or inconvenience to me. I really appreciated how quickly and smoothly that was handled. The only thing that caught me a bit off guard was the pricing discussion at the end of my appointment. While the staff did a wonderful job explaining Neurolens and its benefits, I wasn’t told the cost of the lenses and that they are not FDA approved until checkout, after I had already agreed to move forward. The total was surprising. Around $700 for just the lenses. Aside from that surprise, the care and service I received was excellent. *Edit as Schoonover edited their reply saying Neurolens is FDA approved* I just want to note that during my appointment, I was explicitly told that Neurolens was not FDA approved, which contributed to my hesitation and concern about the cost. If that is not accurate, then I was given incorrect information at the time of purchase, which is concerning given the cost. I hope this can be addressed internally so other patients are given clear and accurate information, as this impacts trust and transparency. Thank you for your reply!

Dr. Schoonover is experienced, thorough, and good with kids (I have teenagers and a preteen). I’m confident in the accuracy of the exam and my prescription. I have a combination of vision issues, including astigmatism and the need for progressive lenses. The staff are pleasant and helpful. It’s a beautiful, bright office and there’s a nice selection of frames!

Dr. Rebecca is very knowledgeable, professional, and fun! I had a thorough eye exam, and got just the right contact lenses for my needs. The selection of eyewear and the customer service can't be beat. If you've had a mediocre experience at one of the bigger places, give this place a try. They're awesome!
