Ms Ilona and Dr Kanes are the BEST! I have been coming the optometry office for about 10 years and have no plans on changing! Customer service and care are a 10! The office was recently beautifully updated and they have a great selection of eyeglass frames and sunnies.
Amazing place love the people. Amazing staff, great work, perfect frames. An excellent quality of glasses. Opened up my world of vision. Now I can see much clearer. Anytime I need repair, or I'm tightening a screw. They're always there for me. The best prices in the market for any glasses. I've been asking around for quite some time.
I selected this office because it was convenient and accepted my insurance. Unfortunately I will not be back as the customer service is horrendous. The doctor was fine but staff are unprofessional, rude and always trying to upsell. Avoid this practice.
NO WAY TO TREAT A SENIOR CITIZN WHO HAS BEEN WITH THE COMPANY FOR MANY YEARS. . They know that he needs cataracts removed . His ophthalmologist says not emergency. He went to get new glasses to fill for the time being... They kept asking him do you want such and ,,,such,, etc, which kept adding to the price. They as professionals should have told him that until he has the cataracts fixed, he should not add all the extras which brought the price up to $800.00. He left the office in the late afternoon . He returned at 10AM ( opening time) the next morning to cancel the glasses. They told him they would call the the place where they send their prescriptions and that Schrier Vision would then call him back. The place that makes the glasses called him back(Queens Optical,Jamaica, NY) and said that would not cancel the order. The full amt. had been put on his credit card. Schrier told us if he has the surgeries with in the year, they will "WORK WITH HIM" on the cost of the new glasses. That is not fair as 1) Medicare pays for a new pair of glasses after surgery (Basic glasses not $800.00 ones...) 2) Who knows when the two surgeries will be finished. He did have an exam for $50.00 which is fine, but he now has an huge amt. added to this month's credit card which you can imagine is not a small thing to deal with. Not a way to treat long time (or ANY) customer....
I was very happy with the final results of my new progressive lenses. Edward was very helpful and patient until I was totally satisfied with the wonderful results, where I could see very clearly from all angles. I highly recommend coming here for all your optical needs.
