I am extremely disappointed with the way my mother was treated by this office. She has been waiting on glasses that she needs for daily life, including driving, and when she called simply to get a status update, she was met with unprofessional and rude behavior instead of basic respect and customer service. Evelyn's behavior was especially upsetting. During a call, she hung up on my mother and reportedly said she was “happy” my mother had switched providers. No patient should ever be treated that way, especially when they are calling with a reasonable question about medical care they depend on. My mother has a kidney transplant and unnecessary stress is something she does not need. Instead of showing patience and compassion, interactions with both Evelyn and the manager Daniel have consistently felt dismissive and rude. It was upsetting to hear that while one person attempted to “de-escalate,” there was behavior that came across as laughing during the situation. Patients deserve professionalism, respect, and empathy. If you are trusting this office with your care, I would strongly encourage paying attention to how they treat people when issues arise. I will be filling a formal complaint and taking further action need be.
