⭐ 1/5 — I do NOT recommend this location. My husband was seen here for an urgent follow-up for a marginal corneal ulcer. The technician or medical assistant never performed a vision acuity test — yet apparently documented a result as if they had. We discovered this when the ophthalmologist finished his exam and told us my husband’s vision was “the same or worsens since last visit.” I told him no vision acuity test had been done. The doctor then performed the test himself right then and there — and the result showed my husband’s vision had actually IMPROVED since his last visit. This means the documented result was not only fabricated — it was also wrong. If I had not spoken up, my husband’s treatment could have continued based on completely false information. This is falsification of medical records. It is a patient safety issue, not a minor mistake. I reported it to the staff and doctor on the spot and have since filed a formal complaint. I strongly urge anyone seeking eye care to look elsewhere. Do not trust this location with your health or your loved one’s health

I found SightMD when my insurance changed I did not think that a corporate operated facility would be ideal for me but getting an appointment was easy so I went with it. So glad I did! My entire visit was seamless. Check in was a breeze, insurance pre verified , zero issues. The medical assistant Onay, was warm, friendly and lighthearted, he had me smiling very early on a Sunday morning. Every test he did came with an explanation of the importance, how it works and exactly what he needed me to do. Love that! Dr Jones was thorough and kind. He reviewed my medications and medical history with me, listened to my concerns and shared findings in a way that helped me understand that my wellbeing mattered to him. 6 months later I came back for a recheck and the experience was exactly the same! Highly recommend!

Be very careful going here. Dr’s are fine but if they see your insurance has a deductible, which insurance doesn’t, they make you pay anywhere from $150 and up plus your co-pay. That just didn’t sound right to me as I have never had to do that when going to the Dr. called my insurance company and they said I am only responsible for the co-pay. When they called the billing dept I was told to call back in 30 days to get a refund. Ridiculous. So they get to keep your money.

Went to see Dr. Jones at this Amityville location because I hadn't had an eye exam in quite a while and was having trouble seeing well...good reason to go, huh? Dr. Jones is highly efficient, reassuring and comforting and his assistant Onei (sorry if I misspelled this name!) was wonderful...pleasant, a people person and also comforting. Great team and so glad I went and feel I am in good hands ....was told I needed cataract surgery (in both eyes, oh boy!) but feel relieved knowing that Dr. Jones will be doing it. All around experience with the front desk and the examination was exceptional and would definitely recommend this office.
